Promoting fine arts and culture and fosters the endeavors of artists and arts supporters through enhanced opportunity and innovative collaboration, embracing an environment supportive to the creative economy. We have health and fitness services, marine and construction services, art galleries, multiple nonprofit organizations, a wide array of retail goods and services, plus dining and lodging and
entertainment and culture and recreation and large and small churches. We can honestly say, “It’s All In Orleans.”
If we don’t have it, know it, or know about it, we send you to someone in town who does. We take pride in our business performance and the performance of others. We take pride in what we do, how we do it, where we do it, and how we present it. And we as customers respect the sincere commitments made to our community by our businesses, so that we are eager patrons. We have the attitude of, “I want to do it, to get it, to experience it, in Orleans.”
How do we implement these attitudes and goals? We create a “community of excellence.” Our businesses and other enterprises take advantage of training programs that are available through the Chamber of Commerce, the Mass Workforce Development Program, and others to be developed by the OCP. The OCP works with the chamber to create directories of goods and services, inventories of attractions and resources, a unified events calendar, an integrated, online touring map, and enhanced information centers. And we recognize that it still comes back to each one of us, setting and expecting standards of excellence and respect in each business interaction, as in each social interaction. It’s all about building and sustaining relationships. And then it multiplies into an even more flourishing community. We are all part of a small town with vast potential. Please join us at the OCP as we strive for excellence, protecting and nurturing our future.
