Iโve been testing all 3, so hereโs my honest breakdown:
Device is free and then you have to pay a monthly or yearly membership (required to see data)โจโ
I use it for: Super in-depth recovery, HRV, strain, and sleep insightsโจโ Donโt like: Recurring fee + no traditional watch face for timing workouts or runs. It also gets in my way when I have to use wrist wraps/grips in workouts.
One-time purchase only, no membership fees โจโ
I use it for: Pacing runs, timing client sessionsโจโ Donโt Like: Mine is VERY old + discontinued, so no sleep score or advanced recovery metrics. It also gets in my way when I have to use wrist wraps/grips in workouts.
One-time purchase, no membership, except if you want to see more in depth data, there are these things called โpower plugsโ where you can pay extra monthly to see more of your data like Cardio Analytics and such.
Great for someone who doesnโt need a watch and maybe doesnโt do any intense workouts. โจโ Donโt Like: Plastic ring that would literally break in half during my muscle-ups, barbell cycling, etc. Not compatible with my training.
My current fave combo ๐ Garmin for running workouts and client training + WHOOP for recovery.โจThe ring just couldnโt survive the training I do.
