Chemo patients have a lot of needs and with budgets being stretched to pay for treatment, I am putting together a stocking drive for Christmas with little things that are needed. In each stocking there will be hand sanitizer, a note pad, pen, protein bars, lemon drops, mints like Altoids, gum, hand lotion, word puzzle, a few note cards, sani wipes and fuzzy socks. And of course Christmas Stockings!!! Most of these items can be purchased at Walmart or Dollar Store. Your donation will make a big difference to someone who is going through the battle for their life. Donations can be dropped off at Curves Oroville or you can message me if you need to mail something. Make a difference this Christmas season and put a smile on a cancer patients face. A gathering will held to assemble the stockings..more info to follow.

Hey friends, are you part of rotary or Kiwanis ? I’m struggling to raise money for my stockings program this year. I’d love to come speak to your group about helping us out with donations. Please let me know. Or if you have another service group that I can talk to let me know. we serviced the cancer infusion centers in our area with gifts at Christmas. They get a backpack or stocking, filled with items to help them through chemo for adult cancer patients. If your group would like to donate to us, let me know.

Quota of Oroville, Ca Youth for Change and Oroville YMCA would like to thank our community for their support of the 2024 Prom Project. We served 257 students from Oroville,Chico,Biggs, Gridley, Marysville, Los Molinos,Butte Valley and Stockton. 367 dresses and 51 suits were given away to our youth so they could attend prom and graduation. When we put out a plea midweek for plus size dresses we received a tremendous amount from our local community and lots of cash donations to purchase more. we love our community and can’t say enough about how generous they are. We are blessed that Oroville lets us host this event every year. Special things to. Enterprise Rancheria for their generous support. Thank you to Shawn Weber (Oroville city councilman) and Jordan’s Crossing for their help. We will see you next year.
