I bet you never thought about this: does sugar have carbs? Yes. One cube has 6 carbs and 9 calories. And pepper has 3 calories. Salt had 0. I'm not sure what made me think about this but glad I Googled it. Also, vitamin pills and supplements also have carbs and calories in them, a low amount but it adds up when you take them daily.

I was just talking with a friend that is a member of WW. I told her how I always want to get something to eat when I'm out and about shopping, in my car, just want to get something and it's usually fast food. She said at a WW meeting they talking about that issue and was taught "PAUSE". Postphone Action Until Serenity Enters. I like that. I'm going to put it a post it note and put it on my dashboard. In the past I would literally drive around the long way home as to not drive by fast food places. I would also drive around for 5 minutes talking to myself to not get anything. Then was able to curb the craving and go home empty handed. She also recommended to get healthy options and put them in snack size Ziploc bags and throw in my purse.

Hey ladies, I was just on TOPS.org to just look at their store. I ended up buying a lucky duck for $10. You can do so til Oct 15. I'm thinking of getting one each month. The money goes to TOPS international. A great organization. They also are selling things for their 75th anniversary. Use your membership number by your address on TOPS NEWS magazine to make an account. There's many things to look at and read and purchase.

I've had a weight loss for 3 wks now. My goal is 3 more. I'm proud of myself this past week. Not much of an appetite but eating healthy food. Our Xmas in July party today was good. Thank you all for the delicious food. And great gifts.

We have one more week before the new officers start up. I'm excited to see how our meetings will be conducted. If there will be any changes. Let's keep our motivation up and our support for one another going strong.

One thing I would love to see is if we can do something together to get our picture or chapter name in the TOPS News magazine in the next yr. Let's think of a contest, or to do something for charity to get recognized by TOPS.

Let's have a lose for our chapter next week. If tracking helps you, keep on tracking. If texting a friend helps, text away. Then we can work on having an all lose meeting.

I haven't been eating much cause depression is making me stay in bed. I'm wanting out of the depression but scared I'll start eating again and gain weight. But I know in the past, when I'm truly happy I eat healthy. Food is just fuel during those times. So I'm screwed when I'm depressed and screwed when I'm not. How does one become happy and stay that way?

This week's challenge is to visit TOPS website. TOPS.org . It has activities, contests for chapters to do, recipes, a store to purchase many different items, My Progress journal book to track your food, drinks and activities. IF you are wanting to do a presentation, it has many ideas. Have a look this week.

We won't be meeting for 2 weeks. Let's stay focused, stay in touch with one another, and be happy.

Up at 1am. Ate 3 spoonfuls of PB. Feeling full so I stopped. I'm learning to eat slower and listening to my stomach. Insomnia stinks but lately I've been able to control my night time eating. Drinking ice tea or flavored water. Then putting myself back to bed. Food will not win anymore. Self discipline will.

This week's challenge is to watch our portions. Read food labels for serving sizes and try to measure them out. If you are one that meal preps, you can put portions into bowls or ziploc bags for the week. Also, let's watch our daily sodium intake. Processed foods have added sodium to preserve the food, giving it a long self life. Rinse fruit and veggies. And if you like seasonings, read ingredients to see how much sodium is in it. There are no sodium seasonings out there, try something new.

Our challenge for this week is to drink water. It's recommended to drink 64 ounces a day. That's how much our cells need throughout the day to function properly. You can make some iced tea, add fresh fruit sliced up in a pitcher, add some flavoring if plain water doesn't do it for you. Stay hydrated.

Just want to encourage everyone to feel free to share a recipe here. A healthy meal you've made.

One thing I've made a few times this year is a Reuben bowl. No bread. Put some butter in a fry pan to melt, add chopped corned beef. When all is cooked, add a half head of green cabbage (Chopped). cook that for 2 mins. stirring often. Then lay slices of Swiss cheese over the mixture. I use 6 slices. Cover and turn off heat. When cheese is melted, scoop what you want to eat into a bowl or on a plate. Top with Russian dressing or Thousand Island dressing. Enjoy! I make enough for 2 meals both for myself and my mom. The leftovers I warm up next day in a fry pan and have added one more slice of Swiss cheese til it's melted. Pinterest has a recipe for homemade Russian dressing but I just buy it. I'm not much of a cook, so this is very easy to make. It's Keto friendly because of no bread.

Today was a big deal for me. I went shopping at 3 stores and didn't buy any candy that they all had at the cash registers. I looked at it and said NO loud in my head and looked away. And then stopped eating my lunch when I was full. The dietitian said to stop eating when I'm no longer hungry. And eating slower helps with that.

I measured out cereal for my breakfast according to serving size. One cup is a lot smaller than one bowl. Lol

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies we have. Let's focus on have a net loss in 2 days. I'm trying to eat less, not to have my stomach hurt by eating too much. Never give up. Tomorrow is a new day to turn things around. If you are given chocolates for Mother's Day, don't over do it. Share with others. My mom freezes hers. She can make a box of chocolates last a few weeks. ---- See you soon. Let's have a net loss again.
