Flora Coates needs a kidney transplant. "Dialysis will keep me alive but will diminish the quality of my busy life and the life of my disabled husband of 42 years whom I assist with care. I want to live because I have so much more to give."

Gene Dickey is the Executive Director of the National Kidney Foundation Serving the Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska. Gene has been with the organization for almost 7 years working in development, programming and outreach. He joined the organization originally as a volunteer with his passion as a two time kidney transplant recipient. Gene grew up outside of Sioux Falls South Dakota and went to college at Iowa Lakes Community College in Management. After returning back to Sioux Falls he went to work for Wells Fargo and worked in Quality and Corporate training and finished is Bachelor’s degree with the University of Sioux Falls.
