I used to roll my eyes at this 👀 but now it’s one of the best things I do for my body as a massage therapist.
I thought walking didn’t do enough, for years I thought it didn’t count as real self care. But slowing down has become essential for my massage therapist wellness, body mechanics and career
slowing down doesn’t mean falling behind.
Walking forced me to pause, breathe, connect with god, reflect on my day, and sometimes catch up with a friend.
It protects my joints and reduces muscle tension,
And allows me to process stress so I don’t burn out.
And honestly?
It makes me a better therapist the next day.
Massage therapists - if you feel drained, overwhelmed, or sore… try taking a walk! Your body (and your career) will thank you.
