✨ An AMAZING day for Ottumwa’s future nurses! ✨
We were thrilled to celebrate four outstanding Ottumwa High School Ottumwa Community School District seniors as Ottumwa Regional Health Center and the ORHC Women’s Auxiliary awarded each of them a $1,000 scholarship through the Ottumwa Hy-Noon Kiwanis Scholarship Program.

Our CEO Richard Bergmann, CNO Jessica Kendrick, and our Director of Marketing & Communications, Raquel Alderman, proudly presented the scholarships to these exceptional students during the Kiwanis Luncheon at Hotel Ottumwa.

These remarkable students are stepping into the world of healthcare with purpose and heart — and we couldn’t be more proud to support their journey. Their passion for nursing and their commitment to caring for others inspired everyone in the room. Their dedication will make a powerful difference in the lives of patients and families for years to come.

We’re cheering them on as they take their next big step toward becoming the next generation of nurses. Ottumwa’s future is bright!

Big thanks to the Rotary Club of Ottumwa for hosting Dr. Michael Scherb at yesterday’s luncheon! As Ottumwa Regional Health Center's newest Orthopedic Surgeon, he shared helpful information about common orthopedic injuries, how to avoid them, and the surgical approaches he uses to help patients get back to what they love.

We’re excited to have Dr. Scherb on the ORHC team and grateful to Rotary for having him and for supporting community health education.
