There’s something very special about connecting as pen pals.
When seniors and children exchange letters, it becomes more than just words on paper - it’s a bridge between wisdom and curiosity, experience and imagination. For seniors, it can ease loneliness and bring purpose. For children, it’s a chance to learn empathy, patience, and stories that don’t exist in textbooks.
Silvercrest Deer Creek hosted its end of school year Pen Pal Party with students from Saint Thomas More Catholic School. Seniors and students all had a fun time!

The monthly meetings bring together valuable insights, resources, and a community of individuals facing similar challenges—because no one should have to figure it all out alone. From understanding care options to planning for the future, it’s all about empowering families with knowledge and support.

One of our staff members, Monica has a deep green thumb and keeps our plant room looking beautiful! Whether you need to repot a plant or just want some fresh air, we've got you covered!
