Planes? No thanks. Today was all about trains & bison! 🚂🦬 Residents boarded Amtrak from Kansas City to Lee’s Summit, feasted on breakfast at Neighbors Café, and then headed out to see the bison at the Native Hoofed Animal Enclosure.

The chilly weather didn’t stop us from enjoying a day full of wonder at Wyandotte County Lake for the Eagle Days event! 🦅❄️ We marveled at incredible birds and listened to Hilda, one of our residents, share cherished memories of her time as a nanny. She told us about a bird garden where the family she worked for trained falcons—and how that garden led her to meet her husband, John. ❤️

A kind presenter from Operation Wildlife even helped capture some special moments on Hilda’s camera. 📸 Despite the cold, it was a day filled with beauty, stories, and smiles. Here are a few snapshots from the adventure!
