Hard Truth⚠

One of the top complaints from those going through my program is the initial frustration of the need to "think about food" so much of the day. Planning and preparing food in advance takes so much time.

ANNOUNCEMENT: It is not thinking about what we are eating, drinking and doing that has created our health and weight issues. It's bad habits accumulated for years.

I tell all participants that until NEW habits replace old, it will feel uncomfortable, often frustrating. But if we push through with consistency, we will crossover to healthy, and it won't feel odd anymore.

We humans are impatient, especially when we are in a position to give up the bad, and change habits. We don't want to be uncomfortable, and change makes us all uncomfortable.

Know the Facts⚠ Artificial Sweeteners

A new study in Nature Metabolism investigated how sucralose, (Splenda), one of the most common artificial sweeteners found in sugar-free snacks, drinks, and protein powders, might not be the weight-management solution many hoped it would be. In fact, it may be doing the opposite of what you want—by triggering hunger rather than satisfying it.

People select low to no calorie beverages and food, not understanding the body doesn't count calories. It interprets, receives, and uses nutrition, not chemicals.

The FDA has approved and banned Aspartame in food and beverage, depending on whose in government. Regardless, too much evidence it is harmful to health, addictive, and causes the body to hold onto fat.

The occasional use of stevia, monk fruit, or real organic sugar are good options. The worst sweeteners include artificial sweeteners like sucralose, saccharin, and aspartame, high fructose corn syrup, agave, and brown rice syrup. It's best to avoid these sweeteners, if possible.
