The goal is to go home safe at the end of your shift, but what does, โsafeโ look like? Is this what you or your First Responder family member sometimes look like when they come home?
The Guardians back the badge beyond the battle by preventing first responder su***de. We do so through training events that empower leaders of departments to diminish the stigma: โAsking for help means you are weak.โ
Protecting The Guardian understands how asking for help allows first responders to utilize the available resources to light a new path out of the darkness.
The Guardians enlighten those in the line of duty to change the trajectory of on-the-job and personal challenges so they may strengthen their road of support to a more promising future. In turn, they become a Guardian themselves by exemplifying nobility to others: โReintegration to your job of serving the community and again being a functioning member of your family is possible.โ
If youโre a First Responder or have a First Responder in your family, contact Protecting The Guardian about Mental Health First Aid courses to be held at your department or in your community. Our First Responders and Licenced Mental Health Clinicians teach you to protect those who protect others. Doing so will lessen disgruntled employees, IA complaints, bullying in the workplace, but most of all, prevent officer su***de ๐๐ผ
