Victory Board Announcement!!
Alec is a high school Junior and star quarterback who came to us in July after an ACL surgery, specifically referred to Dr. Katie due to her reputation of success working with teenage athletes after surgeries.
Since beginning his rehab journey, he was fully committed to the process and willing to put in the HARD work that it takes to come back from a serious injury on the field.
Through all the stages of his rehab, we incorporated blood flow restriction (BFR) training to safely accelerate muscle recovery and address strength imbalances between limbs. This allowed us to stimulate significant strength gains while carefully managing joint stress during higher-load phases of recovery. Each session required grit and sweat, but he powered through and his hard work paid off in dividends.
Over the months, he progressed through objective testing of strength, power, balance, and sport-specific movement. Each stage focused on restoring symmetry, improving neuromuscular control, and preparing the knee to tolerate the dynamic demands of quarterback play — cutting, scrambling, planting, and throwing under pressure.
He has successfully completed his rehabilitation and has been cleared to full return to sport. He demonstrates full range of motion, excellent strength symmetry, and stable movement in all planes — even under high-speed and high-stress conditions that mimic game play. Most importantly, he returns with no lingering pain, weakness, or instability.
Rehab is never just about the knee, it’s about restoring confidence, power, and performance. Congratulations on the hard work and dedication it took to get here. We’re excited to watch what comes next on the field.
