Goofy lives up to his name—but lately, the “goofy” part is starting to fade. 💔 This 1-year-old, 58-pound hound mix should be spending his days playing, learning, and being part of a family. Instead, he’s watching the world pass by from behind kennel bars, and it’s taking a heavy toll on him. 😭

He still tries. He still wags his tail when someone walks by. He still knows his tricks—sit, lay down, turn, paw—like he’s hoping they’ll be the thing that finally gets him noticed. He’s said to be housetrained, he’s great with other dogs, and he has so much love to give… but none of that matters when the kennel door keeps closing.

The playful, silly boy who once brought smiles everywhere he went is starting to shut down. The energy is turning into restlessness. The joy is turning into stress. Goofy doesn’t need more time—he needs out.

He needs a home where he can be more than just a dog in a kennel. A place where he can run, relax, and be his happy, goofy self again. If you’ve been looking for a sign… this is it. 💙🐶

Meet Odie 🐾

Odie is a 2.5-year-old sweetheart with a gentle soul and an easygoing personality. He’s the kind of dog who just gets it—well-mannered, calm, and happy to be part of whatever you’re doing.

He loves kids and does great with other dogs, making him a wonderful addition to a family home. Whether it’s a car ride, hanging out in the yard, or just relaxing by your side, Odie is content and well-behaved. He even did pretty well during bath time—what a champ!

Odie walks nicely on a leash with a moderate pull, but nothing that can’t be improved with a little consistency. His biggest quirk right now is that he doesn’t like being left alone. He has some separation anxiety and has been known to jump a fence to get back to his person—but the good news is, he’s not trying to run off, just trying to reunite. Because of this, he’ll need a home that can provide supervision and help him build confidence.

With a little patience and reassurance, Odie is going to thrive. He’s a loyal, loving dog with a fantastic temperament and so much potential to be someone’s perfect companion.

If you’re looking for a devoted, family-friendly dog who just wants to be close to his people, Odie might be your guy. ❤️

Pawsley is a young pup, currently estimated to be on the younger side, weighing only 24 pounds with an adoption fee of $250. She is good with other dogs and still figuring out the world around her. 😢

Everything feels a little big and new to her right now, so she can come across as nervous or unsure—but that’s just because she’s still learning what it means to feel safe. With patience, kindness, and a gentle routine, she has all the potential to grow into a much more confident and trusting companion. 🥰

Tristen is a 2-year, 2-month-old male, just 27 pounds—and he’s already learning what it means to wait. 💔

At a perfect small-to-medium size, he’s the kind of dog who should be bouncing into someone’s life, going on walks, curling up on a couch, and feeling safe. Instead, he’s still looking for his place in the world.

He does well with other dogs, which makes him an easy addition to a home with a pup sibling, and at his age, he still has that young-dog energy mixed with the potential to grow into something steady and loyal with the right guidance.

His $200 adoption fee is small compared to what he’s offering: a lifetime of companionship, loyalty, and love from a dog who just needs someone to finally choose him.

Looking for a running buddy or an adventure partner? Range Rover is your guy. This strong, sweet hound mix absolutely loves feeling the wind in his ears—especially when he’s riding with his head out the car window, living his best life.🚗

On a recent Dog’s Day Out, Range Rover showed just how special he is. When another dog lunged at him, he stayed calm, cool, and completely non-reactive. That kind of steady temperament is something truly special, and it says a lot about what a good boy he is.🥰

We want to give a huge shoutout to SOS Canine Training for stepping up and taking in our special boy, Eclipse. He is a stunning 1-year- old Cane Corso Mix! 🤍🖤

Eclipse comes to them from Daviess County It Takes a Village after a tough journey. He was originally brought in as a stray, then adopted twice… and returned both times due to destructive separation anxiety. But that’s not the whole story. 👏🏼

From the moment you meet him, it’s clear— Eclipse is incredibly smart. He just hasn’t had the guidance he needs yet. With the right structure, patience, and understanding, he’s going to thrive. ✨

Already, we’re seeing how a few simple changes can make a huge difference—an indestructible crate to help him feel safe! Confidence building, obedience work, and most importantly… MANNERS!! 👏🏼 He’s good with other dogs, but we are told no cats.

‼️ After training, he will be available for adoption—but don’t wait. We would LOVE for him to have a home ready and waiting when he finishes.‼️
