Teleworking is the new wave, even for PMHNPs!

Reasons I LOVE working from home:

1️⃣. Saves money for my patient AND me.

The patient saves on gas or travel& possibly having to miss or take off from work. I save on these costs and also reduce my overhead by not having a physical office I travel to 5 days per week.

2️⃣. Being able to see clients in their TRUE element.

This is extremely helpful when diagnosing conditions such as obsessive compulsive disorder, major depressive disorder, etc. I have seen things in a clients’ home that I would have never seen in office!

3️⃣. Allowing patients to see the ‘human’ side of me.

I’m not just a person that hands you your medication. I actually CARE about the work I do. I love to show my patients my dog (Gunner)… and I couldn’t do that in an office 😩.

Want to learn how to build your OWN telehealth practice? Or make yourself more marketable for a Telehealth job as a NP? Click the link in my bio for ‘So you want to be a nurse’ and read the nurse practitioner section! It’s written by 2 Nurse Practitioners with over 16 years of experience combined

My biggest flex is that I produce REAL results in REAL people.

Y’all I can’t even lie… this scholarship stressed me out bad! Here’s why:

My coaching client is absolutely phenomenal and out of anyone I know, she DESERVED this scholarship because of her passion and purpose.

She applied after the deadline. She interviewed after the deadline (they were done taking interview)… BUT GOD!

In everything I do… GOD is always at the forefront. Before we ended the call, I asked her if we could pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide her. But prayer without work is foolish… so you know I gave her ALL my gems and knowledge that landed me scholarships in nursing school (I graduated nursing school debt free, with my parents only paying $500 per semester).

I don’t know who needs to hear this… but GOD is placing you in rooms you were previously told you weren’t ready for. The time is NOW!

My coaching calls are closed until the end of July while we redesign our program, but this client also purchased our ebook ‘So you want to be a nurse’, which has scholarship gems inside! Our ebook is the comprehensive guide for the aspiring or current nurse, travel nurse, or nurse practitioner…. 63+ pages of things you need to carry you in your nursing journey!

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 7 years of behavioral health experience. I have worked in several specialties, from case management to immunization research. I started travel nursing in 2014. I have done over 15 travel, crisis, and rapid response contracts.

I teach other nurses, travel nurses, and nurse practitioners how to become more profitable and increase their bank accounts while decreasing their time spent at the bedside. I built my practice from the ground up with minimal help and understand the difficulties and hardships new practices face.

I happily left my full time job in 2016 and I’ve been PRN and traveling ever since!
