A Day for the history books!!

Owosso Charter Township Fire Department took delivery this week and put into service our new 2026 Spartan Engine. E-2 as it will be called. Tradition in the fire service tells us to push the new apparatus into the hall and in service to reaffirm the fire departments commitment to its communities it services. Today we had the honor of doing this twice.

We also had the privledge of opening Caledonia Charter Townships New Fire Station on North State Rd right behind the Caledonia Charter Township Hall at 135 N State Rd. Owosso Charter Twp Fire Department contracted this year to provide fire services to Caledonia Charter Township out of the new hall. Today is the day we have all waited for!!This has been a great team effort by both boards to help keep fire protection costs in check. This new station will help all of our neighboring Townships and City’s as well with our contracts and automatic mutual aid agreements. See the photos of Engine 3 being pushed into the new station in Caledonia township.

Thank you to all who have made this day possible! Thanks to Our tax paying citizens who made it possible, The Township Boards from both Caledonia Twp and Owosso Twp. To all of you firefighters who worked so hard today and thru out the last year to put this in place.

History is made today and may this new hall, equipment & team of well trained, committed firefighters keep all of our townships citizens safe!
