Knee evaluations start with listening!
As we compare both knees, you can feel and see the difference - the left one has more lateral movement, less “bounce back,” and it’s uncomfortable for him. Those small details, along with what he’s feeling day to day, help us to create a game plan.
From there, it’s a conversation. What’s going on in his life, what his goals are, and how we move forward with a plan that actually fits him.

Why does getting prepped for surgery feel exactly like Morgan Wallen's walkout 😅😂
Gown on, gloves ready, team locked in - every case starts with preparation. From setup to final checks, it takes a full crew working together to make sure everything runs smoothly before we ever get started.
Different stage, same focus - show up ready and get the job done right.

For some patients, we use augmentation techniques during surgery to help improve healing of the repair. This can include options like PRP, BMAC, collagen, or dermal allograft patches.
In this case, we used a dermal allograft patch to reinforce the repair and give the tendon additional support as it heals back to the bone.
Not every rotator cuff tear needs augmentation, but for the right patient, it can be a helpful tool to promote stronger healing and better long-term outcomes.

"I was impressed that I was accepted as a walk-in. I was also impressed with the knowledge of Chase Crumpton. He explained everything in a matter which I was able to understand, and even though my condition was severe, I was able to get some immediate relief. Would I recommend Chase Crumpton to my friends? Absolutely." -J.K.

Back in the shoulder repairing a rotator cuff tear.
The rotator cuff is key for strength, stability, and everyday shoulder function. When it’s torn, it can lead to pain, weakness, and difficulty with overhead movement. Surgery allows us to reattach the tendon back to the bone using anchors and restore that function.
Recovery is a process, starting with protecting the repair, then gradually working through physical therapy to regain motion and strength. It takes time, patience, and consistency, but the goal is always to get you back to moving comfortably and confidently again.

Not my home… but I know my way around.
Somehow this place starts to feel like one. The people, the routine, the work we get to do every day - it all adds up to something you’re grateful to be a part of.
Thankful to call this work, and even more thankful for the team and patients that make it what it is. 💙

This is where the beauty of surgery comes in.
Closing is just as important as everything that came before it, taking the time to make incisions as small as possible and ensuring everything is sealed the right way.
After ACL surgery, we use a combination of deep absorbable sutures (internal stitches that dissolve) along with external reinforcements like Steri-Strips, surgical glue, or sometimes stitches on the outside. The goal is to protect against infection, promote healing, and keep the scar as minimal as possible.
Done right, it allows patients to start getting back to normal routines, even showering, sooner than they might expect.
Every detail matters, from the first incision to the final closure.

Labral tears in your 30s, 40s, 50s - do we fix them?
In most cases, if there’s no true shoulder instability, we try not to operate. Instead, we focus on strengthening the rotator cuff and shoulder blade muscles and improving motion. As we get older, shoulders tend to get tighter, and surgery can sometimes lead to even more stiffness, which can be a bigger problem than the tear itself.
That said, every patient is different. The decision always comes down to your symptoms, your goals, and how your shoulder responds to rehab.
The goal is simple: treat the patient, not just the MRI and get you moving the right way.

Communication is where it all starts!
Understanding what you’re feeling, what your goals are, and what’s holding you back helps us build the right game plan together. The more we talk, the better we can tailor your care to get you moving the way you want to.
Every good outcome starts with a good conversation!

This is a key step in the procedure. The femoral tunnel position is critical - it determines how the new ACL will function, how stable the knee will be, and how well the graft holds up over time. Once the sutures are passed, we carefully pull the graft into place to sit exactly where the native ACL belongs.

Precision here matters. Proper tunnel placement and graft positioning are what help restore normal knee mechanics and set patients up for a strong, reliable recovery.
