There’s been a lot of talk about boxers and mma fighters. Let’s look at some of boxers who have crossed over from the ring into the cage. A few names come to mind for me.

Holly Holm - BoxRec’s Ranked #5 greatest of all time p4p female boxers and multiple time world champion is also a former UFC Champion, pro kickboxer, and in an almost never before seen feat - scored a 6 point takedown to exposure combo in the first 10 seconds against a 2x PanAm medalist… in her very first freestyle wrestling match.

Ray Mercer - a former title holder and Olympic Heavyweight Gold Medalist, knocked out former UFC Champion Tim Sylvia seconds into the first round in a MMA bout.

Butterbean - the king of boxing four rounders took on fights in multiple rulesets. He beat the likes of Josh Thompson, Cabbage, and Zuluzinho in MMA - proving that boxing specialists can be successful in MMA.
