Proud is an understatement.
Last night, my son graduated from Mortuary School—a milestone that represents years of hard work, commitment, and dedication.
His journey to this moment has been years in the making—from graduating Chaminade High School, earning his Bachelor’s degree from Susquehanna University, and now graduating Magna Cum Laude with his Associate in Applied Science degree in Funeral Service from Nassau Community College.
For many years, I have had the privilege of serving families through funeral service and helping people navigate some of life’s most difficult moments with compassion, dignity, and care. To see my son choose this same profession and prepare to join our family business is incredibly meaningful.
What makes me most proud is not that he is following in my footsteps—it’s that he is bringing his own strengths, his own heart, and his own special way of caring for others. This work calls for compassion, patience, and integrity, and I know he will fit naturally into this role.
We are excited to welcome him into the next chapter at Oyster Bay Funeral Home and look forward to seeing all he will bring to this profession and the families we serve.
Congratulations, son. I couldn’t be more proud.
