Did you make new promises to yourself and set new goals for the second half of 2021?

Are those goals the same as what you set on 1/1?

July 1st tends to be a wake up call for many.

The year is halfway through and your dreams and goals are just that - dreams and goals without any action behind them.

But the good news is, you still have 6 months to change that!

Don't write this year off just beceause the first half of it didn't go as planned.
My year definitely took some unexpected turns, but that's life!

There will always be things we don't expect.

Many situations are out of our control, but what's in our control is how we respond to them.

How many times did you miss your workout that you said you would do?

What were the common reasons?
Meetings, invitation to a happy hour, lack of motivations?

List them out
All of them (even the ones you don't want to admit 😉)

And come up with an action plan for every situation you can think of.

Can't do a full work out?
Have short 10-15 routines available

Missed your alarm and can't work out before work?
Maybe do it during your break.

It's not so much about getting it perfect.
It's more about getting it DONE.

Proving yourself that you're not looking for an easy way out.

What you practice regularly, becomes your habit.

It's up to you to whether it's looking for reasons NOT to do what you said you would, or finding ways to make it happen no matter what (even if it means taking one tiny little step forward).

Change isn't a destination. It's a process, a beautiful journey you take yourself on when you decide to prioritize yourself and your well-being.

When we want to change something, we want results then and there (myself included).

If we don't see the change come quickly enough, we give up.
And start over again when motivation spikes.

What if you approached change from a different angle?

What if you didn't put unrealistic expectations on yourself when starting each new thing?

What if you actually learned to love and enjoy the process despite the visible change?

It is possible!

I haven't "started over" in years!
Does that mean I stay on track 100% of the time?
Hell no!

I have taken weeks off from exercising.
But when that happens, I refuse to see myself as a failure.
I don't think I need to start over or go harder at it.

Instead I accept it as part of the process and embrace every moment of it.

Only when I made the shift in how I see fitness was I able to finally see, feel and experience CHANGE.

Don't fight it, but embrace the journey you're on and change will come. ❀

Are your values in line with your goals?

I always thought of myself as someone who respects herself, chooses a healthy lifestyle and prioritizes her wellbeing.

While those might have been values I wanted to live by my actions didn't always show it.

I chose to put my body through restrictive diets and intense workouts with only one reason behind it - to lose weight & look better.

Where did it get me? Nowhere!
I was never consistent with anything that I did and (what I didn't realize at the time) my values couldn't have been more out of alignment with my reality.

I said one thing, then turned around and did something completely different.

Only when I was able to zoom out and see the bigger picture I could finally bring harmony into my life.

In my case, I changed my goals and prioritized how I feel over how I look.

It felt so refreshing and energizing!

Alignment is everything!
And the first step to achieving alignment is to become aware of your values.

These last few days of 2020 feel like holding an isometric hold in a barre class.

You’re in a weird, rather uncomfortable position, but you hold on because you know you’re almost done!Â đŸ€­

Does the thought of starting things fresh excite you? 

Setting New Year’s resolutions can be both exciting and tricky. 

It’s not a secret that most resolutions fail within the first few weeks. 

❓Just think about the goals you set last year. How long did they last? 
And the year before that? And before that?

While I don’t recommend changing your entire life in a matter of a day, I do think it is a good time to reflect, evaluate the last year and identify areas for improvement. 

ă€œïžDuring this time your motivation and inspiration is at its peak. Use it to your advantage, but avoid mistakes you’ve made in the past. 

🌟The key to making your new habits last is keeping them simple and achievable. 

🌟Break them  down into smaller monthly or even weekly goals. 

🌟Don’t pick the exact same resolution you did last year. You’ve created a pattern and trained your subconscious mind to say -  “ohh, I know this one! It’ll last for about a week or two.” 
Switch it up or approach it from a different angle. 

If you’re go-to resolution is to lose weight & get in your best shape try something like this instead:

🎆Try one new form of exercise each month
🎆Have at least 5 home-cooked meals per week
🎆Move my body for at least 30 minutes each day

Start small and don’t underestimate what one small action done consistently can do for you in the long run.

It all started with a health and fitness blog called EAGER Fit. 

While the blog itself was short lived (I didn’t have the patience to write blog posts 😁), EAGER Fit has turned into something much more meaningful and impactful. 

I am beyond grateful for being featured in shape.com as one of the top 7 workout accounts. 

It is a huge milestone in my journey, but what matters even more are the milestones that I get to help my clients achieve every day. 

From finding enjoyment in movement to boosting self-confidence and everything in between.

The ONE thing that’s holding you back from seeing results

👎It’s not your diet
👎It’s not your exercise routine
👎It’s also not your lack of motivation

👍It’s your mentality

Do you go all in and do it correctly or might as well not even try?

This all-or-nothing mentality highlights two extremes - I am a huge SUCCESS or I am a FAILURE. 

And you are walking a very thin line between the two. 

One missed workout, one birthday celebration or one cookie is all it takes to kick you from one side to the other. 

But there is so much more in between!
đŸ„ł There is LIFE!

Weekend brunch with your friends, time spent with your family, a glass of your favorite wine and so much more! 

Missed your workout?
Go on a short walk or do 10 squats

Ate a cookie?
So what? I hope you enjoyed it!

Fell off your diet and workout plan?
Learn what you can from it and move on.

Your health and fitness journey isn’t and never will be black and white.

Have a sustainable plan, do your best to stay consistent and learn to adapt when you need to.

No matter what - try to stay away from the two extremes and expand the space in between the two.👌

“I need a strict diet & fitness routine for it to work!”

Have you ever heard yourself say that?

Perhaps you’ve searched for diet plans that will tell you exactly what, how much and when to eat?

Sound appealing, right?

If there are strict rules, there is no room for failure - results guaranteed?

❌False!

What you are really telling yourself is: “I don’t trust myself, my body and my own judgements.”

I've been there - looking for rules in everything that I do.

What’s wrong with it?

Well
 when I fell off the strict routine, I fell off for good. There was no easing back into it. I either did nothing or I started over (only to find myself in the same position weeks later).

Only when I was able to learn how to listen to myself and stop judging I could finally see the bigger picture.

I didn’t need a strict plan, I just needed to realize that exercise routine doesn’t have a start or end date.

✅It’s a lifestyle.

And if I am in this for the long run, I better give my body what it ACTUALLY needs instead of what I THINK it needs.
