Fiberifi (AS1046) is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Rackifi (AS16512) as both companies join the Quad State Internet datacenter located in Paducah, Kentucky. Together, the two providers will deliver advanced transit options and a full suite of carrier-grade services to the region’s Internet Exchange Point.

This expansion is anchored by our primary hub at DataBank IAD-1 in Ashburn, Virginia—one of the most connected facilities in the world. From this location, Fiberifi operates with more than 400 Gbps of aggregated bandwidth, sourced from dozens of carriers, upstream partners, and adjacent facilities. This extensive network reach powers all of our Points of Presence (PoP) nationwide.

By extending localized connectivity and transit services to Quad State Internet, Rackifi, and Fiberifi will offer organizations a powerful opportunity to build cost-efficient multi-site redundancy. Customers can now deploy robust backup and failover solutions—without the high expense traditionally associated with multi-datacenter architectures.

This partnership represents a major step forward in our mission to deliver resilient, affordable, and scalable infrastructure to businesses across the region.

We’re expanding our commitment to industry, jobs, and regional growth by standardizing our enterprise offerings. Enterprise DCI deployments now come with 16 terabits per second of installed capacity as a standard feature, allowing organizations to interconnect with a minimum of forty dedicated 400Gbps wavelengths per site.

Quad State Internet is proud to announce the launch of the Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois Educational Research Network (WKSI-ERN) - a 100 Gbps regional initiative connecting schools, universities, labs, and Learning and Design Centers across Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois. Built on Quad State’s scalable 400 Gbps backbone and integrated with the Paducah Internet Exchange (PIE-35), Kentucky’s largest and fastest-growing Internet Exchange Point, WKSI-ERN empowers educators, students, and researchers to collaborate, innovate, and launch new digital learning and research initiatives right here in our region. 🌐

🚀 Big News for Western Kentucky’s Internet Future! 🌐

We’re proud to share that our CEO, Preston Louis Ursini, has been selected as a Fellow in the ARIN 56 Fellowship Program. This honor, awarded by the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), brings Western Kentucky’s voice to the table in international Internet policy discussions.

Through his work leading Quad State Internet and the Paducah Internet Exchange (PIE), Preston has championed faster, more reliable broadband for our region. Now, he’ll help make sure our community’s story is heard as decisions are made about the Internet’s future.

📍 The ARIN 56 Public Policy and Members Meeting will take place October 30–31 in Arlington, Texas.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of McCracken County Deputy Judge Executive Steve Doolittle.

We had the privilege of working with and learning from Steve through his role in McCracken County government. His steady leadership and dedication to our community were an inspiration, and his support made a meaningful difference in the work we do at Quad State Internet.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. It was truly an honor to know him.

Tuesday, McCracken County Commissioner Bill Bartleman confirmed that Deputy Judge Executive Steve Doolittle has died. He was 61.
