Maui Counseling Group, a part of Aloha House, held a blessing ceremony marking the opening of the organizations new offices at the Wākea Gardens Complex in Kahului. This new central location will provide rooms for individual counseling, space for administrative activities, and still have room for the origination’s crisis outreach team.

This community-centered training focuses on understanding and supporting children and families affected by trauma, grief, and prenatal alcohol exposure, especially in the aftermath of the Maui wildfires. The next two trainings will be held on:

Say Aloha to our incredible Maui Youth and Family Services School-Based Counselors! 🌺 Our dedicated counselors work one-on-one and in group settings with youth across Maui’s middle and high schools. They create a safe space for kids to express themselves, release their feelings, and truly be heard.

Kayla, our School-Based Counselor at Maui High, shares that the best part of her job is helping youth who may not have access to essential mental health support. ❤️ As the mental load for teens and pre-teens reaches new heights, it’s crucial to meet them where they’re at and be readily available to work through big emotions.

We’re so proud of our counselors who are there for our youth every day, making a positive impact on their well-being! ✨

Maui Youth & Family Services just hosted Youth Mental Health First Aid training in Lahaina. Equipping community heroes to spot, support, and guide our keiki through mental health challenges post-fires and beyond!

With over half of Maui kids screening positive for depression, these skills are game-changers for early help and hope.
