This kid is amazing! Finished 3+ years of chemo treatments in Feb and had surgery to remove his port a couple of weeks ago. He defeated Leukemia and this past weekend he was breaking boards at a Taekwondo tournament!

I will be running the Chicago Marathon again this October in Owen's honor to support the thousands of kids who get treatment and support from Lurie's every year. Please consider a donation to help me meet my goal.

Our hero is 4.

Our hero thinks it is normal to have hospital "sleep overs," "pokes," "sleepy medicine" and shots given at home.
Our hero wants to play and wrestle with his Daddy after a chemo treatment, spinal tap, throwing up, and 4 hours in the car.
Our hero has to understand he has a "fake eye"

His preschool teacher just told us he very mature for his age. I wonder why?

We will be GOWENSTRONG tomorrow thinking of him and what he has overcome.

Thank you to the Riskind's for hosting an amazing party last night and the generous support from our neighbors, family, and friends. Last night's event raised over $2,700 for Team gOWENStrong and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago!

Owen got his first belt today!

20 mile long run completed on Saturday! Started at 6:30a but was still way to hot. My teammate Jose Magana was there grinding it out too!
