Dr. Cara’s office in Jupiter, Florida, is seeking aspiring medical professionals for our Patient Care Lead/Medical Assistant position. If you're friendly, compassionate, hard-working, and multitask with ease, Dr. Jeff Cara wants to meet you. Our Medical Assistant position offers the opportunity to participate in the treatment of a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions, from back pain and cancer pain to autoimmune disorders and complex pain syndromes. The position involves taking patient histories, serving as a scribe during patient appointments, participating in the development of patient care plans, and supporting outpatient fluoroscopic, ultrasound, radiofrequency, and other interventional procedures. No pain management experience is required – you'll be trained by one of the top interventional pain management physicians in the nation.
We offer flexible full-time and part-time schedules, but full-time is preferred. Starting salary is $15-17 per hour dependent upon experience, with bonuses and raises available based on performance. Healthcare, vision, 401K, and other benefits are available for full-time employees.
Dr. Jeffrey R. Cara is an Interventional Pain Care Physician and Physiatrist who believes that everyone deserves a life free of pain. Double board-certified and 5-star rated by his patients, Dr. Cara trained at the nation’s leading, ACGME-accredited programs: Mayo Clinic, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine NorthShore. A graduate of Stetson University, Dr. Cara was salutatorian of his medical school class and completed his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), consistently ranked the #1 Rehabilitation Hospital in the nation. He then completed comprehensive fellowship training in acute, chronic, and interventional pain medicine at Mayo Clinic.
A Florida native and former Palm Beach County Ocean Rescue lifeguard, Dr. Cara is passionate about environmental conservation and sustainability. He has completed eight triathlons and enjoys playing in the great outdoors with his family. Dr. Cara actively volunteers across South Florida, and he considers his medical career a lifelong opportunity to serve.
