Officially triple board certified! I was driven to complete this training through Columbia/Cornell because excess weight often plays a significant role in spine and joint pain. As many of you know, I've always been passionate about nutrition and exercise; this training has given me another tool to care for my patients.

Since launching Cara Cares eight months ago, I've been honored to treat a wide variety of patients, from CEOs and athletes to busy parents and fellow physicians. Their concerns ranged from rare diseases to cancer to everyday back pain. But, like me, they all shared a desire for a more meaningful, personal medical experience. They welcomed me into their homes for appointments that lasted two to three hours, on average. It has been a delight to care for them and bring them improved quality of life. To the many patients and friends who embraced my new approach to pain management, THANK YOU.

The cherry on top? Being named "Best of the Best" in Pain Medicine after achieving several consecutive years of "Top Doctor" peer recognition in Palm Beach Illustrated magazine. I'll do my best to live up to that reputation!

Healthcare is broken. Long waits, rushed appointments, insurance battles, siloed care, and unmet needs … we all suffer. For years, I struggled to give my patients the care and attention they deserved within the corporate model, but it was never enough. I eventually took a sabbatical to find another way. I wanted a practice that would allow me to take my time with patients, listen, and provide comprehensive, compassionate care. I didn’t find it, so I’m building it.

I’m pleased to introduce my solo private practice, Cara Cares. It’s the first concierge-only interventional pain management practice in Florida, and among the first in the nation. I intend to keep it small so I can provide an exceptional level of care and access, including house calls. I met with my first concierge member last week, and we spent three hours together in their home. That’s the care patients want and deserve, especially those with complex and chronic conditions. I’m committed to elevating pain care.

Dr. Cara’s office in Jupiter, Florida, is seeking aspiring medical professionals for our Patient Care Lead/Medical Assistant position. Our Medical Assistant position offers the opportunity to participate in the treatment of a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions, from back pain and cancer pain to autoimmune disorders and complex pain syndromes. The position involves taking patient histories, serving as a scribe during patient appointments, participating in the development of patient care plans, and supporting outpatient fluoroscopic, ultrasound, radiofrequency, and other interventional procedures. No pain management experience is required – you'll be trained by one of the top interventional pain management physicians in the nation.

We offer flexible full-time and part-time schedules, but full-time is preferred. Starting salary is $15-17 per hour dependent upon experience, with bonuses and raises available based on performance. Healthcare, vision, 401K, and other benefits are available for full-time employees.

Dr. Jeffrey R. Cara is an Interventional Pain Care Physician and Physiatrist who believes that everyone deserves a life free of pain. Double board-certified and 5-star rated by his patients, Dr. Cara trained at the nation’s leading, ACGME-accredited programs: Mayo Clinic, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine NorthShore. A graduate of Stetson University, Dr. Cara was salutatorian of his medical school class and completed his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), consistently ranked the #1 Rehabilitation Hospital in the nation. He then completed comprehensive fellowship training in acute, chronic, and interventional pain medicine at Mayo Clinic.

A Florida native and former Palm Beach County Ocean Rescue lifeguard, Dr. Cara is passionate about environmental conservation and sustainability. He has completed eight triathlons and enjoys playing in the great outdoors with his family. Dr. Cara actively volunteers across South Florida, and he considers his medical career a lifelong opportunity to serve.

Dr. Okeke recently began his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. A licensed Florida physician, Dr. Okeke graduated from Windsor University School of Medicine and completed a master’s degree in Health Communication at Northwestern. We wish him all the best as he continues his medical career!
