🌟 Practicing Gratefulness for Kids 🌟
Teaching gratitude isn’t just about saying “thank you”—it helps kids build confidence, kindness, and emotional strength. 💛
When children practice gratitude, they’re more likely to:
✨ Notice the good in their day
✨ Feel happier and more connected
✨ Manage stress and big emotions better
✨ Show empathy toward others
Try simple daily habits like asking, “What’s one good thing that happened today?” or making a little family gratitude list each night. 🍂🧡
Helping kids recognize the small joys today builds resilient, grateful adults tomorrow.

As we enter the winter season, our priority is to help keep our patients, families, and community healthy and protected. Respiratory viruses such as Flu, RSV, and COVID-19 tend to increase during colder months, and prevention plays a key role in reducing illness, complications, and missed school or work days.
We are pleased to share that we now have the following vaccines available in our offices:
Flu vaccine
RSV vaccine (as age-appropriate and based on clinical eligibility)
Moderna COVID-19 vaccine (Spikevax, 2025–2026 formulation)
Vaccination continues to be an effective way to reduce the risk of severe illness, hospitalization, and long-term complications. We encourage families to discuss vaccine needs with their provider during scheduled visits. If you do not have an upcoming appointment or would like to schedule specifically for vaccination, please feel free to call us — we are happy to help you find a convenient time.
Scheduling is quick and easy:
📞 Call our office to book your child’s appointment (561) 741-0000
💻 Or schedule directly through the Patient Portal on our website
Together, we can help protect our children, families, and community this winter.

Repost of very important information from : The FDA and CDC are investigating an outbreak of infant botulism cases that may be linked to ByHeart infant formula. ByHeart recalled all their formula products sold nationwide on Tuesday morning. If your family has one of the recalled formula cans at home, stop using the formula and monitor your infant for signs of botulism, including constipation, difficulty feeding, poor head control and trouble swallowing. The vast majority of baby formula is safe, and the recall affects a small percentage of families who rely on formula.

🌟 Did you know that more than 1 in 4 children in our area faces food insecurity? At Pediatric Partners, we believe healthy bodies begin with healthy meals — and that’s why we’re proud to shine a light on Feeding South Florida.
When you donate to Feeding South Florida, you’re helping provide nutritious meals to children, seniors and families in our community. 📦🍎 Your gift — whether one-time or monthly — goes directly to supporting pantries, mobile distributions and emergency relief.
⏰ The clocks changed this weekend — but some kids (and parents!) are still adjusting!
If your child’s sleep or mood feels a little off, you’re not alone. Here are a few ways to help everyone get back on track:
🌙 Stick to a consistent bedtime routine, even if they’re not sleepy yet
☀️ Get plenty of morning sunlight — it helps reset the body’s internal clock
🍎 Keep meals and naps at regular times to reinforce rhythm
😴 Most children will fully adjust within about a week
A little patience (and maybe an extra cup of coffee for parents ☕️) goes a long way!

📱 Did you know Instagram recently rolled out a PG-13 style rating system for teen accounts?
This means stronger safeguards around what content teens can see—helping reduce exposure to harmful material like violence, self-harm, or overly mature themes.
At Pediatric Partners, we see daily how online content impacts mental health. 🧠💙
For teens especially, social media can shape mood, self-image, and sleep.
👨👩👧 What parents can do:
✔️ Talk openly about what your teen sees online
✔️ Encourage balance—social media + offline hobbies
✔️ Remind them it’s okay to log off
💬 Our Behavioral Health team is here to support families in navigating the digital world. Because protecting mental health is just as important as protecting physical health.

From the time you are rocking your babies until they roll off to college we provide a high touch, high tech approach that partners physicians and parents in the care of their children. Whether a child is in our office for routine care or in times of critical illness, our goal is to provide the best technology and information available, combined with a warm personal touch that will be long remembered by parent and child alike. Pediatric Partners is your child's medical home where we provide comprehensive and complete care; coordinating your child's needs for physical, behavioral, emotional and developmental needs. We are able to provide most services within our "medical home" but when necessary will oversee appropriate referrals to specialists.
It was the belief in these tenets that led Dr. Gerald Kilpatrick and Dr. Tommy Schechtman to establish Pediatric Partners in 1998, creating a practice that provides parents with a choice in health care that combines exceptional medical expertise and innovation in an atmosphere of compassion and collaboration.
While the focus of our practice is to first and foremost provide cutting edge, up-to-date medical care to children from birth through adolescence, every interaction is consistent with the belief that physicians and parents are partners in the care of a child.
Parents are the primary providers of their children's health care and should be empowered to succeed in that role. Therefore, we are ready to assist parents with the challenges and rewards of raising children. By emphasizing preventive health care and early identification of problems we hope to create a foundation on which children can build a lifelong history of good health habits.
The entire team at Pediatric Partners, including physicians with over 200 years of combined experience in the medical care of children, all feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to do the work they love, and share a common mission: They desire to make a difference in the lives of children.
