I was diagnosed with pre-osteria arthritis about 20 years ago after taking prednisone for 25 or more years. I was diagnosed with asthma at the age of 10. I was told about a year and a half ago that I would most likely need surgery on my hip because it was almost bone to bone so in 2024 I began acupuncture with Dr. Shu-Lin Wu at Dedicated Senior Medical Center. In the beginning, I was seeing her twice a month still had pain but getting lighter when sitting and walking. I was told that I may gain back 10 to 20% of the cartilage in 3 months. It has been 8 months to almost a year now since I started receiving acupuncture treatments. I am almost able to walk 7 to 8 miles per day without any pain, not needing to take any pain medication.
Acupuncture has successfully helped me avoid hip replacement surgery. I am now receiving acupuncture treatments for maintenance. I recommend Dr. Wu to provide you for your acupuncture therapy. She has truly made a difference in my life.
