Despite its name, “pink co***ne” is not actually co***ne.

This emerging drug, gaining traction across the United States, is a deceptive and potentially lethal powder with a distinctive pink hue.

Rather than containing co***ne, it is often a risky blend of substances such as ketamine, M**A, methamphetamine, and caffeine.

Alarming reports also show a growing presence of powerful and dangerous additives like fentanyl and xylazine, significantly increasing the risk of overdose and severe health consequences.

Pink co***ne is a newer mood and mind altering substance that has begun to appear throughout the United States.

We had an incredible time meeting all the attendees and presenters at the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association (FMHCA) 2025 Annual Conference—a gathering of minds and hearts dedicated to healing, advocacy, and progress.

Every conversation, every handshake, and every shared story reinforced the deep impact mental health professionals have on countless lives. We are especially honored to have met Maria Giuliana, MA, LMHC, Veteran, a trailblazer making history as the first president-elect board member representing both the LGBTQ and veteran communities.

This is a powerful step toward inclusivity, breaking barriers, and ensuring that every voice in the mental health space is heard and valued. We are so proud to be part of this community and look forward to the continued growth and change that will come from it.

Stress can feel like a heavy weight pressing down, clouding every thought and draining every ounce of energy, leaving us yearning for just a moment of peace and clarity.

5-4-3-2-1 Sensory Exercise: Focus on your five senses to bring yourself back to the present. Identify five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste. This technique engages your senses, helping you feel more connected to your surroundings.

Hold an Object with Texture: Find a small object, like a stone, a piece of fabric, or a stress ball, and focus on its texture, weight, and temperature. Really feel the object in your hands, letting it ground you and draw your focus away from racing thoughts.

Engage in "Progressive Muscle Relaxation": Start by tensing and then relaxing each muscle group, working from your toes to your head. This technique not only releases physical tension but also brings your focus to the present, helping to calm your mind.

Managing a mood disorder is a journey that requires strength, patience, and, most importantly, compassion toward yourself.

Build a Routine: Establish a consistent daily schedule to create structure and stability, which can help regulate mood.

Practice Mindfulness: Engage in mindfulness exercises, like meditation or deep breathing, to stay grounded and manage emotional responses.

Stay Active: Incorporate regular physical activity, as it can boost mood and reduce symptoms through the release of endorphins.

Connect with Others: Reach out to friends, family, or support groups to avoid isolation and gain a network of understanding and encouragement.

Together, these small steps create a path toward peace, healing, and resilience.
