February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.
It is important to understand that teen dating violence, or TDV, is absolutely not okay and should be taken seriously. TDV consists of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse by a partner in an intimate relationship.
This month, we encourage you to educate yourself on the topic and do research on the warning signs of TDV to help prevent and spread awareness on the topic. You never know what someone truly may be going through. Please remember that February is not the only month that TDV should be taken seriously, it is always an issue. This month is to bring awareness to those who are experiencing or have experienced TDV in the past.
