When you look around any gym, it’s easy to think you’re seeing the whole story.

You see women lifting, mirror pictures, laughing between sets, adorable matching sets, Ponytails… all of that “Gym girl” energy.

But you’re not seeing the real reason most of us are there —>

You’re not seeing the anxiety we walked in with. The mental load we carry. The marriage we’re protecting. The postpartum fog we’re climbing out of. The business stressing over. The pressure of being needed by everyone all of the time.

For a lot of us, the gym isn’t about abs.
It’s about regulating our nervous system and reminding ourselves that we are our own person! It’s about one hour where we’re not solving everyone else’s problems, resting our brains while exhausting everything else.

For me... My brain doesn’t shut off easily. If I don’t intentionally create quiet, it doesn’t happen. To be honest, it only happens in bed as I fall asleep 9 times out of 10.

And then, I found the Red Light room at … PURE SERENITY!
I walk in, turn on my worship music, and for 15–20 minutes the noise fades. No emails. No decisions. Just warmth, stillness, and a small window of peace that resets my entire day for the better!

People think recovery is about healing your muscles, but at almost 40 years old… I have learned it’s often about your mind! 🫶🏼✨

I’m going to say this like I would to a friend…
“You don’t have to do all of that.”

You don’t need 12 supplements.
You don’t need a 90-minute morning routine.
You don’t need a new protocol every week.

My routine is minimal because that’s what works for my life, I truly do not have time to add any thing else. And that’s ok!

I lift.
I hit my protein.
I utilize one drink for my collagen, hydration and added protein.
I get my steps in, outside.
I use my SPF & Retinol.
I sleep the best I can.
I use a very simple stack of Pept1des.
I repeat, consistently.

I’ve truly built results, overtime, that I’m proud of. There is nothing wrong with optimizing your life but if it’s overwhelming you, stressing you out, or making you feel behind?
—> It might not be for you.

I am not against all of the things women are experiencing success with, but I do know for a fact that what works for everybody looks different across the board!

The goal isn’t to copy someone else’s routine.
The goal is to build one you can actually stick to, one that you can do without panicking because it doesn’t fit into your day- ever!

If you’ve ever felt behind because you’re not doing “everything,” that you see on the larger social media accounts… this is your reminder, you don’t have to do it all! 👏🏼

My whole day flipped upside down today…
I know you get it!! 🙃

Monday is my “paperwork” day, my logistics planning day for !

Today I was in house working on exciting things to come & my day was planned perfectly, joke was on me! What was supposed to be a 1 PM gym visit… turned into a 5 PM “do I even go?” situation.

BUT my gym bag was packed AND my workout was ready… I was basically halfway there, so I hung left when pulled out of Flourish!

It was EXACTLY what I needed after a full day of juggling it all and actually not dropping a single ball. My brain went from chaos to peace in my short hour at

& because he knows me so well… thanks to my husband, I walked into a kitchen smelling of steaks and Brussels sprouts, and hungry boys who devoured every bite. The Darsey house is full, fed, and we’re all about to sleep like babies tonight.

When you’re a mom, a business owner, a wife, a friend and a woman trying to take care of herself… you learn to move things around and show up when it works.

Because yes, there are 24 hours in a day… but please let us all acknowledge that they don’t look the same for everyone! 👏🏼

Sometimes it’s easier to remember that the plan is just a guideline for the things you would love to accomplish! 🫶🏼

Thought GLP Ones meant you had to sit National Margarita Day out? 🍹

No way… that would be unacceptable! 🙃

You just need to know that your body plays by new rules now, and what that looks like when you enjoy your favorite drink!

Whether you’re using GLP-1 support for weight loss, inflammatory issue, or to dial in on your fitness journey… alcohol WILL hit differently.

🧪 This isn’t my opinion… it’s physiology.

You might notice:
✨ lower tolerance
✨ quicker effects
✨ more sensitivity to sugar

Somewhere between the ball field drop-offs, themed school days, the constant exhaustion, and the “why am I in the pantry at 12AM?” moments…
a lot of women started believing this is just how it is once you’re a mom… once you’re over 35… once you lose control of your health.

But that little voice?
The one whispering, “surely this isn’t it… surely it gets better from here…” every time you order the extra-large, extra-everything Starbucks … she deserves a little respect.

She’s still in there for a reason.
She knows you can do better.
You can be better.
You can feel better.

None of your life circumstances mean you’re done. You might be tired but you’re not finished, but it’s a fact that nothing changes if you don’t start taking yourself seriously.

BABY GOT BACK 🎶💃🏻
But let’s be honest… some of us didn’t “have back.” And most of us didn’t “have the top nine either… so we paid for that part in the early 2000s and called it self care. 🙈

We had a whole lot of fun too, so I don’t regret that era but that girly wasn’t who 35 year old me was!

Whether we like it or not our hormones begin to shift in our 30s and 40s.
Estrogen changes.
Metabolism slows.
Muscle mass declines if we don’t protect it.

Removing my implants and committing to macros, the correct amount of protein, understanding peptides, and progressive strength training wasn’t all about creating the perfect summer body.

My lifestyle changes were 100% about protecting future me, 70-year-old me, my son’s children’s grandmother!

I don’t want to need help to get off of the toilet.
I don’t want to struggle getting off the floor.
I want strength, mobility, independence, and longevity. I want to travel make those Disney trips with my son when he is 40!

As fun as the early 2000s were, your body isn’t a lyric from the 90s. It’s your home for your entire life.

Clearly Sir Mix-A-Lot left all of that out when he was writing his mega hit… but I’ve got your back on things women actually *NEED* to know! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
