☀️ Vitamin D in Florida… are we actually getting enough?
Living in the Sunshine State, you’d think vitamin D deficiency wouldn’t exist—but it absolutely does.
Between indoor lifestyles, sunscreen (which we do want for skin protection), and limited peak sun exposure, many women are still low in vitamin D—and it matters more than most people realize.
Why vitamin D matters:
Vitamin D acts more like a hormone than a vitamin. It plays a key role in:
• Hormone balance (thyroid, estrogen, testosterone)
• Energy and mood (hello fatigue + low motivation)
• Immune health
• Bone health
Low levels can show up as brain fog, low energy, frequent illness, or even mood changes.
Sunshine vs. supplements—what’s the evidence say?
Yes, sunlight helps your body naturally produce vitamin D. But research shows many people still don’t reach optimal levels through sun exposure alone—especially with modern lifestyles.
That’s where supplementation can be helpful when appropriate and ideally guided by labs.
How to take vitamin D the right way:
Vitamin D is fat-soluble, which means:
Take it with a meal that contains healthy fat
(thinking avocado, eggs, olive oil, nuts)
This simple step can significantly improve absorption.
💡 Bonus tip:
Vitamin D works best when your body also has adequate magnesium, another common deficiency that can impact energy, sleep, and stress.
At Jubilee Wellness Collective
We take an evidence-based, whole-person approach—looking at your labs, symptoms, nutrition, and lifestyle to support your hormones and energy in a sustainable way.
Because feeling “off” isn’t something you just have to live with.

Easter, in all its colors 🌈
For some, this day holds deep faith, resurrection, and hope.
For others, it’s simply a reminder that light returns, seasons shift, and healing is possible.
At Jubilee Wellness, we hold space for all of it.
For those who believe in God — we honor your faith and the comfort it brings.
For those who aren’t sure what they believe — you belong here too.
And for those who have been hurt by church or by Christians… I see you. I truly do. Your pain is real, and your story matters.
Healing doesn’t have to look one certain way.
Hope doesn’t belong to just one path.
And you are allowed to take your time finding what feels safe, true, and whole for you.
Today can be about resurrection…
or rest.
About faith…
or simply finding a little bit of light again.
However you show up today — you are welcome here.
Always. 🤍

Perimenopause + ADHD = a whole personality shift you didn’t exactly RSVP for 😅
I went to Sam’s today and I swear it aged me 10 years… the lights, the crowds, the decision fatigue, the “why did I come here again?” energy… all of it.
If you’re in this season and feeling more overwhelmed, more scattered, more irritable, or just not like yourself—you’re not imagining it.
Hormonal shifts in perimenopause can absolutely amplify ADHD symptoms:
✨ Focus feels harder
✨ Sensory overload hits faster
✨ Emotional regulation takes more effort
✨ Executive function? Hanging on by a thread some days
And then we’re expected to keep showing up like nothing’s changed.
Perimenopause is what we do not talk about as much. It’s a transition. A process. A whole recalibration of your brain and body leading up to menopause.
At Jubilee Wellness, we see you in this space. There are real, supportive options—hormones, nutrition, nervous system care, and mental health support—that can help you feel like yourself again.
Until then… if Sam’s Club took you out today too, you’re in good company 💛

Ever find yourself at the soccer field, coffee in hand, managing all the things—snacks, schedules, emotions—while also helping your kids navigate big feelings like disappointment after a tough loss or staying humble after a big win?
Raising kind, strong, independent athletes isn’t just about showing up… it’s about how we show up. Our kids are constantly watching how we respond, regulate, and reset.
It’s not always easy. Some mornings you’re the calm, grounded mom cheering from the sidelines… and other days you’re internally processing stress, hormones, exhaustion, and still trying to hold it all together.
Here’s your reminder:
✨ You don’t have to do it perfectly
✨ Your presence matters more than your performance
✨ Regulated moms raise resilient kids
And yes—this is your gentle nudge that your hormones matter too. When your hormones are supported and balanced, it’s easier to:
✔️ Stay patient in high-emotion moments
✔️ Respond instead of react
✔️ Hold space for your child’s wins and losses
✔️ Actually enjoy these fleeting seasons
Motherhood—especially in the sports years—is beautiful, chaotic, emotional, and demanding. You deserve support just as much as your kids do.
Let’s raise good humans… and take care of ourselves along the way 🤍⚽️

Understanding OCD: It’s Not Always What You See
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often misunderstood.
For some, OCD isn’t visible rituals or repetitive behaviors.
Instead, it can look like intrusive, obsessive thoughts—unwanted, distressing, and often frightening.
Thoughts that may feel:
Graphic
Irrational
Completely out of alignment with who you are
These thoughts can be debilitating, leaving you questioning yourself or fearing what they might mean.
Let’s be clear:
Having these thoughts does not mean you will act on them.
They are a symptom—not a reflection of your character.
You Are Not Alone—And You Are Not Broken
OCD is highly treatable, and support matters.
Therapy is often the first and most effective step, especially approaches like exposure and response prevention (ERP).
But sometimes, therapy alone isn’t enough—and that’s okay.
A Whole-Person Approach to Healing
Everyone’s journey is different. Support may include:
Therapy
Medication (when needed)
Nutrition and gut health
Regular movement and exercise
Nervous system regulation (breathing, yoga, mindfulness)
Strong support systems and community
You Deserve Relief
If you’re struggling with intrusive thoughts or OCD, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
Sometimes, a little extra support can make all the difference.
I’d be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey.

Our very first batch of business cards arrived this week… and honestly, the timing couldn’t have been more aligned.
While they showed up, we were intentionally resting, regrouping, and reflecting—taking the time to get clear on how we can best serve women across Florida in a way that feels meaningful, sustainable, and deeply supportive.
Because building something that truly cares for women—mind, body, and hormones—deserves intention, not just momentum.
This is just the beginning, and we’re so excited for what’s ahead!

PCOS: What it is, why it matters, and why you deserve better options
Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) affects 1 in 10 women and yet so many are dismissed, misdiagnosed, or simply handed birth control without a real conversation.
Let’s break it down
What is PCOS?
PCOS is a hormonal and metabolic condition, not just an “ovary issue.”
It involves:
• Insulin resistance
• Elevated androgens (hormones like testosterone)
• Irregular or absent ovulation
Common symptoms
• Irregular or missing periods
• Acne or oily skin
• Hair thinning or hair loss
• Excess facial/body hair
• Weight gain or difficulty losing weight
• Infertility or trouble ovulating
• Mood changes (hello anxiety/depression connection)
Risk factors
• Family history
• Insulin resistance / prediabetes
• Chronic inflammation
• Sedentary lifestyle (not always—but can contribute)
Why is birth control so commonly prescribed?
Because it works for symptom control, but let’s be clear:
It does NOT treat the root cause
Birth control can:
• Regulate cycles
• Lower androgen levels (help acne + hair growth)
• Protect the uterine lining
But it’s often used as a band-aid, not a full plan.
Holistic & root-cause support (this is where the real work is)
• Blood sugar balance (protein, fiber, lower glycemic load)
• Strength training + movement
• Stress + cortisol regulation (nervous system matters)
• Sleep optimization
• Targeted supplements (inositol, magnesium, omega-3s, etc.)
• Gut health + inflammation support
Sometimes medications like metformin or spironolactone are helpful—but they should be part of a bigger picture, not the whole story. (And spironolactone can cause anxiety and depression)
The bottom line
PCOS is not just about your ovaries.
It’s about your metabolism, hormones, brain, and long-term health.
And you deserve more than:
“Here’s birth control—see you in a year.”
We do better when we actually listen to women.

Let’s talk progesterone — because not all forms are created equal, and this really matters for uterine safety.
If you have a uterus and you’re taking systemic estrogen, you must have adequate progesterone on board to protect the uterine lining (endometrium) from overgrowth (hyperplasia), which can increase cancer risk over time.
Here’s where things get confusing 👇
✨ Oral micronized progesterone (Prometrium)
This is the gold standard for many women. It’s well absorbed systemically and provides reliable endometrial protection.
✨ Transdermal patches (combined estrogen + progestin)
These contain a synthetic progesterone (progestin), but they do provide adequate uterine protection when used appropriately.
⚠️ Compounded progesterone creams
This is where I see the most misunderstanding.
While they may help with symptoms for some women, they are not reliably absorbed at levels high enough to protect the uterus. The molecule size and inconsistent absorption through the skin make dosing unpredictable.
⚠️ Compounded “all-in-one” creams (estrogen + progesterone + testosterone)
These are popular, but they generally do NOT provide adequate endometrial protection.
So if you’re using one of these and still have a uterus, you may be unintentionally leaving your lining unprotected.
💡 Bottom line:
If you have a uterus and are on systemic estrogen, you need one of the following for protection:
• Oral micronized progesterone
• A proven progestin (patch, IUD, or prescribed alternative)
Not all “natural” or compounded options are equivalent — and this is one place where physiology matters more than preference.
Your hormones should support you, not put you at risk.

Women have been living in dysregulated nervous systems for so long, we’ve started to call it “normal.”
The mental load. The hormonal shifts. The expectation to hold it all together—through perimenopause, postpartum, monthly cycles, career demands, relationships, caregiving. We’ve been taught to override our bodies instead of understand them.
At Jubilee Wellness Collective we see it every day:
Women who are exhausted but can’t rest
Women who feel anxious but are told they’re “just stressed”
Women whose hormone changes are dismissed while their nervous systems are screaming for support
A dysregulated nervous system isn’t a weakness—it’s a response to being unsupported for far too long.
Healing isn’t about forcing calm. It’s about restoring safety in a body that hasn’t felt heard.
That looks like:
• Supporting your hormones, not ignoring them
• Regulating your nervous system, not just medicating symptoms
• Creating space for rest without guilt
• Being listened to—fully, clinically, and compassionately
This is the work we do at Jubilee Wellness Collective.
Women-centered. Hormone-informed. Nervous system aware.
You don’t need to keep living in survival mode.
We’re done normalizing burnout as baseline.

Spring break through the eyes of a mom:
You planned the trip.
Packed the bags.
Remembered the sunscreen.
Packed the snacks.
Packed more snacks.
Found the missing flip flops.
Managed the meltdowns.
Broke up the sibling fights.
Took the pictures so everyone will remember how “relaxing” it was.
Meanwhile someone will inevitably say… “You’re on vacation, relax.”
The truth is most moms carry the invisible mental load everywhere they go. Spring break just means doing it in a different location.
If by the end of the week you feel overstimulated, exhausted, touched out, or like you need a quiet room and a nervous system reset — that’s not you failing at vacation. That’s motherhood.
At Jubilee Wellness Collective we see it every day. Women holding entire families together while quietly running on empty.
Moms deserve support too. Not just during the hard seasons, but during the “fun” ones as well.
Take the picture. Eat the ice cream. Let something be imperfect. Your mental health matters too. Book an appt for your return home. We have got you!

Happy International Women’s Day… a little late, which honestly feels fitting. Real life women are usually busy doing all the things, so sometimes we celebrate a day later.
For generations, women’s health has lived in the margins of healthcare—understudied, misunderstood, and too often dismissed. From hormonal transitions to mental health, many women have had to advocate fiercely just to be heard. The bias has been real, and the gaps in support have been wide.
But change is happening. Slowly, steadily, and respectfully, women are demanding better care, better research, and a seat at the table when decisions about our bodies are made.
Jubilee Wellness Collective is proud to be a women-owned practice doing our small part in that shift—listening deeply, honoring women’s experiences, and providing thoughtful, comprehensive care through every stage of life.
Here’s to the women who came before us, the ones doing the work today, and the ones who will continue to push healthcare forward.
