The bounty of harvest. Never before in my adult life have I been able to garden successfully or preserve some of the seasonal goodness in a good way.

I am in such gratitude for this deepening into the spiral of the year, the reverence for land and the lessons she teaches 🥹

Deepening ever more into my true self. This new chapter feels so deeply restorative. I now know who I am. The intense lessons of the Front Range chapter are integrating as my nervous system settles and strengthens here.

Thank you life, for this path I walk. For the challenge, pain and heartbreak. For the bliss, awareness and honor. Thank you for showing me who I am and what I'm here to do in the ways that you have.

The chaos of the holiday season past now, and many are already on to the next thing - new year's resolutions.

Partly induced, no doubt, by the nervous system overwhelm of the month of December, where we are expected to output so much.

And society tells us to continue to achieve, create, DO the things.

Meanwhile, we are in deep winter. An inward, quiet, restorative yin time. I'm glad to hear and feel more folks this year expressing a greater desire for rest and space.

The more we listen to our bodies & our inner guidance, the more we come into resonance with our earth and her seasons. The way we were meant to be.

Lavender is often overlooked in the herbal world in favor of more exotic herbs

I don’t quite understand it

One of the most loving gifts we can give ourselves is that of a restful night's sleep

I have the most sound sleep when I use my Lavender oil on my body or feet before bed

To let the scent cleanse the energy of the day, clear the mind, ground me into my body.

I use locally grown Lavender and the scent is out of this world, full bodied, and far more sustainable than essential oils. Truly a sensory experience.

Portal to the Otherworld

Lavender herbal infused oil is actually green! (When made with the technique I follow)

I'm always pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous color of this oil. I find myself expecting a darker, purplish hue.

This in-depth technique I use extracts so much more of the plant's character- color, aroma, and body.

These oils are not only infinitely more sustainable than essential oils, they impart a depth of aroma that essential oils simply do not carry.

Working with these infused oils feels like inviting the essence of the plant into my experience, onto my body.

Inviting me into ritual space with the earth, even in the cold months.

A true sensory experience.

Oh St John's Wort...Hypericum perforatum...it was such an honor to work with you this season. From the initial joy at discovering you in a place I could harvest from, to taking in your sunny, radiant energy while harvesting, to seeing the gorgeous red oil we made together, I am deeply grateful. May this medicine serve all those who feel the call to know and use her.

My personal favorite way to use this oil is after a bath, as a full body oiling treatment. The way this plant relaxes the nervous system when applied externally is quite amazing. Since SJW is a sunshine plant, there are also uplifting qualities that accompany the relaxation. 😊🌞🌼
