Same child.
Two gait trainers.
Very different movement. π
In the first video, Mo is fighting just to stay upright β crouched posture, toe walking, trunk collapse, poor head control, and limited ability to use her arms functionally.
In the second, the RIGHT support changes everything:
β¨ Improved trunk + head control
β¨ Better leg alignment and extension
β¨ More active stepping and endurance
β¨ Freedom to use her arms
β¨ More visual engagement with her environment
β¨ More independence, confidence, and JOY
We even added a headrest during trials to further support cervical alignment and reduce excessive extension patterns β giving Mo even more opportunity to move efficiently and engage with the world around her. π
This is why gait trainer selection matters. Itβs not just about βwalking.β Itβs about access:
β‘οΈ access to play
β‘οΈ access to peers
β‘οΈ access to movement
β‘οΈ access to independence
At PTC, our therapists spend extensive time assessing alignment, posture, gait mechanics, endurance, participation, and functional movement to help each child find equipment that truly supports THEIR body and THEIR goals. π
Weβve absolutely loved trialing the Levity by and seeing the immediate difference it can make for kids like Mo! β¨
