Pain is never random. It has a source.
Dr. Chirichella looks beyond the symptom to identify where pain truly begins, because lasting relief starts with the right diagnosis.

If pain is disrupting your life, schedule an evaluation with NJ Brain & Spine to find the source and the right treatment.

Sitting all day doesn’t mean your spine has to suffer.
Dr. Khan shares simple ways to stay active and support better posture at work:

• Stand or walk for a minute every 30 minutes
• Reset your posture each time you sit back down
• Set your chair so hips sit slightly higher than knees
• Keep your screen at eye level
• Lightly engage your core throughout the day

Small habits, done consistently, can make a real difference over time.

EMG (electromyography) is a diagnostic test that evaluates how your nerves and muscles are functioning by measuring electrical activity.

Dr. Peter Schmaus shares how we use EMG and nerve conduction studies to pinpoint the source of symptoms like numbness, tingling, weakness, and radiating pain, helping confirm diagnoses such as peripheral neuropathy and cervical or lumbar radiculopathy (pinched nerve).

At New Jersey Brain and Spine, EMG is one more way we bring clarity to the diagnosis and confidence to the treatment plan.

Our body and mind can deceive how we perceive movement.

Dr. Roth explains that our brain overcompensates as a protection method, preventing us from moving when we should in fact, move more after minor injuries and incidents.

The longer you wait to exercise and move, actually can do more harm than good. Longevity is a day by day step to preventing future ailments and pain.

Dr. Karimi shares that he always prepares for rbe unexpected before every procedure because you can’t rely only on instinct or past experience when someone’s life is in your hands.
Mental preparation is essential. Every case is different, and things rarely unfold exactly the way you expect.
That humility and focus are what make great surgeons. 💙

If you’re seeking expert, patient-first spine or neurosurgical care, schedule a consultation with NJ Brain & Spine.

Dr Patrick Roth believes that to be a surgeon means letting go of your own perspective and seeing the case through the patient’s eyes.
Every decision, every approach, every operation must be framed around what’s best for them, not what’s easiest or most convenient for us.
At the end of the day, patient-centered care is the only care that matters. 💙

If you’re seeking expert, patient-first spine care, schedule a consultation with NJ Brain & Spine.

Not every patient who thinks they need surgery actually does.

Dr. Khan saw a case where the MRI didn’t line up with the patient’s complaints, the pieces just weren’t adding up.
So instead of rushing to operate, he recommended physical therapy.
Sometimes the best care is avoiding unnecessary surgery.

If you’re unsure about your diagnosis, schedule a second opinion with NJ Brain & Spine. 💙

Some cases of pulsatile tinnitus are minor but others can signal something much more serious.
In certain patients, the rhythmic, heartbeat-like sound has progressed to increased pressure inside the head, even leading to vision changes or vision loss.

Pulsatile tinnitus should never be ignored.
If you’re experiencing these symptoms, early evaluation is important to identify the cause and protect your long-term health.
Schedule a consultation with NJ Brain & Spine to get the answers you need. 💙

A nerve block works by placing numbing medicine around a nerve to calm pain in a specific area.
For arthritis in the spine, a facet medial branch block can reduce pain quickly and radiofrequency ablation can extend that relief for up to a year.
These treatments can make a real difference for patients dealing with ongoing back pain.

If you’re struggling with chronic spine pain, schedule a consultation with NJ Brain & Spine to see if these treatments are right for you. 💙
