Today’s topic of discussion: FEET! 👣

I get plenty of questions asking about horses with navicular and mystery foot pain and how my machines can help them. And most everyone doesn’t seem to love the answer I give- yes I can treat and help these cases, but, like most conditions, it takes TIME! ⏰

Navicular, in particular, is not a condition that is reversible. It is chronic and it is incurable, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t manageable! 📝

Not sure if your horse has navicular, but can’t figure out 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 that dang soreness is coming from? Then I’m talking to you too. 😉

I have had plenty of success with reducing inflammation, increasing circulation, and relieving pain in navicular and foot soreness cases- BUT - this all comes AFTER I have been allowed to treat through what we call the ⚕️“healing crisis.”⚕️

This entails treating 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 through the bad numbers and soreness, until we reach the light at the end of that soreness tunnel. Usually, we are looking at 10-14 days of CONSECUTIVE treatments in these cases.

Each horse varies, but these are the numbers I’m talking to people who 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒆'𝒔 𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆.

AND IT DOES!!!

Cant make it to my barn?
Thats completely fine, I travel! 🧳 🚗🌎

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆?

First off I would like to start by saying I do have a mobile set up, and yes it’s got wheels. 🛞 🛞
But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t take me a good minute to pack it up from my barn and load it up in my car to get to your barn, set up, and do the whole process all over again!

This is part of why I have to have a travel policy if you don’t meet certain minimums, but it is mainly to account for the hours of driving I will be doing to get to your barn!

𝗦𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲?

Simple-
•If travel one way is around 30 minutes or less= No travel fee!🚫 💸
•If travel one way is over 30 minutes= Travel fee
•3 horses or MORE at your stop= No travel fee!🚫 💸
•Less than 3 horses= Travel fee

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗳𝗲𝗲?

Your travel fee will increase in corespondence with your distance from my barn.
Having 2 horses for me to work on vs 1 horse will also lead to a cheaper travel fee!

Overall it is cheaper to come to me for either a haul-in or an extended stay. But traveling gets the job done too!

I LOVE watching horses release during and after treatments. It’s one of my favorite parts of treating!🤩
I can never seem to get a video of horses giving their best cat stretch- but that is my favorite release to witness!

I CANNOT explain how great it feels to get updates from clients about how AMAZING their horses feel post extended stay!

🏡Extended stay is best option for most every scenario I’ve encountered in my handful of years of being a certified practioner.
So if you’re on the fence about bringing your horse to my barn for an extended stay, 💥let this be your sign to pull the trigger!💥 (plus it’s cheaper🤫)

🙌🏻I plan on being at MSU for MI state finals. 🙌🏻
But here’s the kicker- I will only be there SATURDAY and SUNDAY.
That being said, pre-performance treatments might be hard to fit in for the long go unless you’re later in the draw.

Even if you’re done running for the weekend, Post-performance treatments are very beneficial for recovery after a long weekend.

Sometimes my personal horses feel left out when I have clients at the barn…😅🥲

This mare seems to be having a reaction to something she found in the pasture last night. Might be bugs, might be a w**d- we may never know!🤦🏼‍♀️

Making sure my clients leave in as good if not better shape than they came to my barn in is something I take pride in as well! We just so happen to share the same good taste in products as one of the best in the Acuscope business… 💁🏼‍♀️

Taking extended stay horses is much more than daily Acuscope/Myopulse treatments. I’ve said it many times but I’ll say it again. There’s nothing better than knowing your horse, is looking their best. Even if they aren’t quite feeling their best, we can help keep them looking their best. “Look good, feel good” is what we strive for. Maintaining how they arrive is something I will take pride in. If they are braided and bathed 1x a week at home, they’ll get it here. If they show up from the surgery barn in a layer of shaving dust with some old sweat from sweating out meds, that will be the first thing we address! Complete Equine Performance makes it that much easier with their Kool & Clean wash, followed by their show stopper spray. Injured horses- we can’t live with or without them and I’ll say that they’re designed to die…

Whether it’s a performance injury or the way they’re made or something dumb they decided to do on their own time. We have to address it. I personally get a lot of post op cases and open wounds. Open wounds are much easier to rehab in my opinion. You can visually see the progress and with it being visual, it answers most questions. The question in question.

💥How many treatments will it take? 💥

If your horse has been diagnosed by a vet to have 3-6months time off, or what ever length of time, I will not challenge the vet’s recommendation. Especially on cases that have been found per a MRI. These cases are the hardest because you can’t visually watch the progression. My acuscope helps follow the progression with my digital readings. But even then when the body starts reading great, that doesn’t mean we are healed. I mean maybe in some cases with vet confirmation but realistically, no. It means that we have addressed the cellular function and have the body addressing the injury accordingly. Reducing inflammation ALWAYS helps the body heal better and in some cases faster. Back to the simple question, I don’t know how many treatments it’s going to take. We can certainly challenge your vet’s recommendation and treat them daily, but that’s where they come to stay with me and they’re still going for a recheck. I can certainly come 1-2x a week, but I’m not guaranteeing that it’ll make or break your injury or the condition of said horse.

We as technicians can only do so much with what is presented. Even best case scenario and with a bottomless check book, it all comes down to how the horse wants to heal. Sorry to say. No one has a magic 🪄 wand.
