Too often I forget that for over two years, this was the view from my porch. I’m that weird person that doesn’t miss the sunshine at all. But I do miss the water. I miss my friends. I miss getting lost in a thousand different directions on purpose and clocking 30,000 steps on a happy Saturday afternoon just wandering further and further into newness. I miss the constant travel. I miss the space and the time alone. I miss being untouchable in the far away sense. And I am grateful for what all of it taught me. I wouldn’t have been able to draw a line in my life and move forward from it if I didn’t first go this far away from everything I thought I knew.

Sometimes they’re your mind and body asking for pause.
Sometimes they’re protecting you from overwhelm, disappointment, or pushing beyond what you truly need.

Instead of judging the feeling, try getting curious about it.

Ask yourself:
What might this be protecting right now?
What need might be asking for attention?

Awareness is often the first step toward change.
