-let’s make it count

Life comes at us from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to bed. Where do we find our peace?

Sometimes challenging and other times so beautiful, we press on, hoping to repeat the moments that make us smile and laugh with gratitude and joy. We leave behind the sorrow that attempts to hold us down. Because we never give up. We press on.

We step into our adversity and the opportunities that present themselves every day. We step through, and eventually, with action and hope, we step up!

Yet, in our highest moments, we still listen to the inherent voice that says we are not enough, but we are. We are more than enough! And we know this to be true. So why do we question?

Adversity is a landscape we navigate together, a mountain we all must climb (and we have all been to the MF mountain top). Life challenges us, shapes us, and, in its own profound way, tries to break us. But it never does. We don’t give up on people, and we definitely don’t give up on ourselves, for we know eventually, with grit and love, we will prevail.

So, let’s embrace our journey, with all its ups and downs. Feel every emotion, ride every wave. Through these experiences, we reach the pinnacle of our own personal mountains, where success isn’t just a destination but a journey of continuous growth and achievement.

Believe in yourself, stay the course. We are all human, brilliantly human, in fact, and, as we know, capable of incredible things. We have this.

We get one damn shot at it, so let’s make it count!

In the tapestry of life, each strand signifies our joys, trials, victories, and losses. They weave together to tell our tale. As humans, we don’t just endure; we thrive, adapt, and learn. Facing challenges? We Step In, confronting them. We Step Through, reminding ourselves that after every storm comes calm. Then, we Step Up, emerging stronger.

Life's beauty lies not just in individual resilience but in the bonds we form. Our shared moments become our anchor, our strength.

Once, my young daughter, with an ancient soul's wisdom, told me, "Dad, you're either moving forward or falling back." These words, a reminder that progress is vital, still resonate. We all have an inner wisdom, regardless of age. For those feeling lost or overwhelmed: remember, together, we're unstoppable.

To everyone on this journey, I’m with you. The path might be tough, but together, we'll keep moving. "In every challenge is a seed of hope. Cultivate it, trust it, and let it flourish."

We’ve got this!

-I believe in you

The words we choose can significantly impact the hearts and minds of those around us, painting their world with shades of doubt or lighting their path with rays of hope. In human connection, the phrases "I'm worried about you" and "I believe in you" reside at polar ends, each wielding power to construct or deconstruct the human spirit.

The expression "I'm worried about you" can inadvertently act as a heavy fog, shrouding individuals in a nebulous cloak of anxiety and concern. It implies a lack of confidence in a person's ability to overcome challenges, sowing seeds of self-doubt and vulnerability. This, however, is to maintain the genuine care and concern behind such words; it is crucial, but the essence and impact of the words are inherently different.

Conversely, the words "I believe in you" act like beams of sunlight piercing through the clouds of uncertainty. They hold the power to uplift, encourage, and breathe life into dormant dreams and ambitions. They are a potent elixir of hope and a fortress of strength for those teetering on the precipice of despair.

Remember the words of Goethe: "Treat a man as he is, and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he can and should be, and he will become as he can and should be."

When you say, "I believe in you," you are not just expressing faith in their capabilities but entrusting them with a powerful truth — that they are capable, resilient, and worthy of overcoming any hurdle. You are igniting a flame within them that can overcome the profoundest darkness and encourage them to forge their destinies and build their bridges to success.

Let us remember it is not worry but belief, hope, and love that have the transformative power to change lives. When encouraged with belief, the human spirit becomes an unstoppable, resilient, and enduring force. So, choose your words wisely, sew them with seeds of encouragement, and let the people around you know that you are not worried; instead, you are their greatest believer, their staunchest supporter.

You can be mad just don’t be mean-

It's been a while since I have sat in this chair and wrote-

I'm back!

In the beautifully unfolding tapestry of existence, the dawn of new chapters radiates a sublime glow, illuminating pathways of boundless opportunities and proliferating seeds of positive impacts in our shared world. The tapestry, colored by myriad experiences and journeys, is a gentle reminder of the profound power imbued within kindness, a virtue ever so vital in the world of today.

In our human essence, the tempests of anger and frustration are inevitable, yet it is paramount that we drape our interactions with the silk of kindness rather than the thorns of meanness. No soul wandering this boundless cosmos deserves the sting of cruelty; every heart beckons for kindness and respect, the universal elixirs soothing the soul's deepest aches.

Each soul embarks on a journey unique and sacred, not a dance of right or wrong but a symphony of individuality, each note echoing the unique essence of one's being. These myriad journeys, these distinctive tales of triumphs and tribulations, sculpt us into beings of intricate beauty. If we unveil the stories woven within each soul, our hearts will burgeon with compassion and empathy, recognizing the countless battles fought in the silent shadows.

I have crossed paths with myriad souls, and not one was spared from the whirlwinds that shake one's core. In these interactions, let us be the anchor, the supporter, the empathetic companion; let us strive to perceive the unseen, to comprehend the unspoken, and, in doing so, construct a world imbued with kindness and understanding. Let us cease the cruel dance and embrace the harmonious symphony of benevolence.

I've witnessed the manifestation of humanity's exquisite essence in recent weeks and months. From the vibrant heart of Las Vegas to the pulsating rhythm of New York, from the melodious charm of Nashville to the tranquil spirit of Montana, I've encountered extraordinary souls. They are the embodiments of kindness and respect, their hearts brimming with gratitude for the blessings they possess, not lamenting the ones they lack. Their awareness soars in the celestial realms, and their courageous spirits continue to weave their essence into the world's ever-evolving tapestry. You (all of you) have inspired me. I have heard the stories of significant others struggling with life's most demanding challenges at every imaginable level, yet you prevail. You love, and you move forward with grace.

These encounters, shared stories, and connected hearts are the golden threads in the tapestry of existence. They are the gentle whispers of the wind, reminding us of the inherent beauty residing in humanity, urging us to embrace kindness, foster understanding, and sprinkle compassion in every corner of our shared journey. Because we matter.

See you soon, Maui (so much empathy and love for you), and look forward, as always, to being in Canada with my new friends there. Let's make memories and meaning together.

Let this be a beacon of inspiration, igniting the flame of kindness within every heart. May we all continue to weave our stories with threads of benevolence and understanding, creating a world resplendent with the true beauty of humanity. We've got this. We are more similar than different.

Find the 20! It's in the 20 that we connect and become our best, for those of you that know, you know.

Choose kindness above all, and remember you can be mad (we are human, after all), but don't be mean.

From the floor we rise-

Sometimes, we find ourselves in a place we never anticipated, a place we never thought we could end up in. It's as if life has knocked us down, and we're lying on the floor, metaphorically or literally. Whether it's due to loss - of health, of a partner, a job, or financial instability - we feel despair, as if we've lost everything. We're left staring at the ceiling, the cool, barren floor beneath us, wondering, "If all is lost, what do I have left?"

In those moments of profound emptiness, the answer is deceptively simple - we have hope, faith, and the assurance that when we hit bottom, the only way to go is up. The breath in our lungs reminds us that we are alive, more than our circumstances, and have the strength to rise again.

From this floor, we focus on each breath and the small things we can be grateful for. It could be the coolness of the floor, the soft whisper of the wind, the warmth of the sun, or the love of people around us. It might not seem like much, but gratitude is the key to rising. The spark reignites the flame within us and propels us to get up, stand, and start again.

Remember, the floor is not a place of ending but a foundation for what comes next. It's where we gather our strength, reassess our position, and find the courage to rise again. Nelson Mandela once said, "The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." This powerful reminder is the essence of our human spirit.

So, get up! This world needs your unique presence. The moments of reflection and the lessons you learn as you rise from that floor will shape the course of your life. You have the power to transform your circumstances. And it all starts with a single breath, a moment of gratitude, a flicker of hope.

From the floor, we rise!

I’ve got you-

"I've got you" - three powerful words that can change everything.

In those moments, a wave of confidence washes over both the speaker and the receiver, building a bridge of trust and assurance. It's a promise that says, "I'm here for you, no matter what comes our way." 💯

This phrase carries a responsibility to stand by someone's side through thick and thin. So use it with wisdom and sincerity, and cherish the bond it creates.

To all who've ever said "I've got you" and meant it, let's take a moment to honor the trust you've built and the shoulders you've offered to lean on.🙌

And to those who've been on the receiving end, never forget the power of those words and the strength they provide.

My grandfather used to tell me, "Lonnie, pick your friends who, in your darkest hour or your brightest moment, would still be standing by your side saying "I've got you" And I have!

Here's to a world where we can all trust one another and confidently say, "I've got you." ✊

“Self-care is not selfish. It’s essential.”

We often hear that it's important to take care of others, to be selfless, and to put the needs of others before our own. And while it's true that compassion and empathy are vital qualities to have, it's equally important to remember that taking care of ourselves is just as crucial.

Our relationship with ourselves is the most important relationship we could ever have. It's the foundation upon which all other relationships are built. When we take care of ourselves, we become better equipped to take care of others. When we prioritize our own well-being, we show up as our best selves for the people around us.

It's not selfish to prioritize self-care - it's necessary. We must start with ourselves first, approaching self-care in a humble and authentic way. When we take care of ourselves in this way, everyone benefits. We have more to give, more to share, and more to contribute to the world around us.

So let's remember to take the time to nurture our relationship with ourselves. Let's prioritize self-care as an act of love and compassion towards ourselves, and as a way to better serve the people around us. Because when we take care of ourselves, we create a ripple effect of positivity and kindness that extends far beyond ourselves."

You are more-

You have always been more.

From the time you were born to the day you could walk and talk to the day you laughed so hard that we all cried.

This world gets loud at times, and we deal, but hopefully, we never get lost in its never-ending roar.

There is significance in your profound presence. You matter. You're needed; without you, I cannot be the me. You validate my humanness, and I hope I do yours.

So whoever you are, wherever you are, just know that to me and to many others, you will always be more!

Keep going, my friend, for the chapter we are writing now is our best one yet.

Who knows you’re here?

You are thought of multiple times a day, my friend. You are appreciated and loved more than you could possibly know. And you are not alone.

If we only knew how our friends and family spoke of us when we were not in their presence, we would simply be astonishingly grateful for their kind words.

Remember this: no amount of guilt can change the past, and no amount of anxiety can change the future... The world needs everything you have to offer it. If you are still here, then there is a reason. Make it count.

Believe that every day is a new day, a new beginning, another chance to witness and experience this beautiful world. So, be you, smile, and please lift your head up so we can see you.

We know you're here!

-Mindset perspective

The mind absorbs unobjectively whatever is offered to it until you actively take control of it and choose what is kept and what is discarded.

Old research said that we have anywhere from 60,000 to 70,000 unique thoughts that run through our minds on any given day. Of these thoughts, 85% were negative, and 90% were repetitive daily.

New updated scientific research out of Canada states the number is more like 6,000 to 7,000 unique thoughts, but the percentages didn't change. 85% are still negative thoughts about ourselves, and 90% of those thoughts are repeated every single day.

Perspective! - Just as we feed our bodies with nutrition, water, exercise, and sleep, We need to provide our minds the same if not even more care.

Increase your awareness and change the pattern of negative thoughts.

Focus on what is good and what you are grateful for, including the ability to wake up every single day and see the sunrise or the rainfall. Both are a blessing—this world as challenging as it can be, is more magical than maniacal.

Be grateful, be you, and believe!

My writing buddy-

This morning I literally spoke with Ozzy about how people need to believe in themselves. They need to understand how much they mean to others. If we only knew!

———

Here’s what we wrote:

Is this moment better because it passed by you?

Every day we enter a world that needs our love, attention, and positive energy.

A simple smile, a kind hello, an acknowledgment of someone else's significant presence. To see everyone as the beautiful human beings that they really are. Remind them, and they will remind us back.

We are triumphantly progressing and, yes, at times struggling with the perspective that we are learning, loving, and living through these times. It is never easy, but we are equipped individually and collectively when we keep an open mind and believe in each other.

Life is truly grand. Just give it a minute. It will reveal itself to you, but you have to believe. You have to do your part.

We fall, we fail, but we absolutely get back up, and we keep trying because that's what someone who believed in us taught us somewhere in time. So whoever that someone is, honor them in living your gifted life. Don't squander, and don't give up. Keep going, keep living, and believe that this world is better because you are in it. Because it is.

Thank you for recognizing that you made my life better for me because I passed by you!
