🛟 When the body feels safe, the mind can follow. Mind-Body healing is a complete package. 🎁
Meet Beth, age 46. She had recently been diagnosed with an auto-immune disease and was considering going back on antidepressants. She described her life as 💥 chaotic, jarring and loud 🔊. She felt tense and annoyed most of the time, with a particularly strong tension in her stomach.
Beth had been on a healing journey in recent months to try and unwind her and . She had tried acupuncture, therapy, and was using psychedelic mushrooms and ketamine therapy. She was open to trying anything that could help her find relief.
🗓️ Beth and I met one-on-one when her schedule allowed, and completed my mind-body program over the course of 8 weeks. In addition to listening to the ( ), we incorporated creative time, breath work and gentle movement into each session to feed her body cues of safety.
🙂 One month after Beth completed the program, we met for a check-in. Beth looked content and . Her body, once fidgety, was grounded and centered. She shared that she felt much, much calmer. She *did not* restart her antidepressant medication.
✨ Having tried a variety of healing modalities that year, she concluded that the work we did through Coaching and SSP made her feel safe *inside* her body which was a nice complement to the mind expansion work she had explored through other methods.
🫀🧠 Beth said that she didn't have the words to describe that need before completing our program, but now knows that Safety was the main feeling that she had been searching for.
