Latinas in Motion Latinas in Motion empowers women to lead active, healthy lives. Latinas in Motion was organized to inspire, encourage, and empower women to run!

With high rates of diabetes, obesity, and heart disease among Latinas, we challenge these stats by fostering a supportive community focused on exercise, good nutrition, and self-care. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, “Heart disease accounts for a third of all deaths among Latinas. Latinas also have high rates of some factors that increase the risk of developing heart disease, such as diabetes, overweight and obesity, and physical inactivity” (2010). Latinas in Motion provides an atmosphere that contradicts these statistics and fosters a community of women living healthy lifestyles. We pride ourselves in exercise, good nutrition and taking care of self.
