🌀Let’s steady our energy.
In the days ahead there will be a lot of movement. Family, gatherings, shopping, cooking, hosting, and travel. All the things that go along with this time of year. What we don’t want to forget to do is take a moment for yourself.
Ground and stabilize the energy within you before you take any time for tasks. Holding space with yourself to balance. Reminding yourself that it’s ok to pause in the midst of anything you are doing.
The holiday season can be a wonderful time to connect with family, loved ones, and good friends while we share food and drink.
There are also a lot of people who do not feel that this time of year is enjoyable. It can be a time of high stress and high expectation. Some feel that they have to perform for individuals that don’t appreciate who and what they are. Some are missing the loved ones that they used to share this time with. It’s important to remember that every experience whether known or not, is a valid one.
Be gentle with yourself and others, and be mindful of the energy around you. If you feel someone’s overwhelmed, ask if you can carry a dish. If you’re the one that’s overwhelmed, give yourself permission to rest.
There are no expectations greater than those of self well-being. We must first cater to the internal chaos, providing calm, nurturing energy. Providing self love. All before we extend those same gestures outward.
Pause and pull yourself into grounding, stabilizing the energy in the root, holding this space for as long as you need. Returning here as often as you need. Moving with mindfulness of what the body and the mind needs to feel balanced.
