12/30/2025
2025 was the best year of my life.
This is my second post of the year, as I have spent most of the year off of social media.
The year was full of firsts with Olivia and Mel, lots of triathlon, training, and watching Buckeyes with my best friend .
I cannot express the joy I have in being a husband to and a father to Olivia.
I have been blessed to be able to move my body in ways I didn’t think was possible.
The friends I have are unmatched in the world we live in today.
Olivia saw the Buckeyes win a Natty before she could talk.
I got to spend 3 days in the backcountry with some of the most solid people you’ll find on this earth.
I crossed the finish line in Lake Placid to a second family cheering me on who I love dearly.
I spent many Saturdays in the Fall in the Horseshoe.
I finished the year celebrating my wife’s 31st birthday on the slopes this weekend.
I don’t share these things to boast or to make you want my life. I share because I’m just thankful. I am so thankful in this life God has given me. If this year was the top, then I’m just fine with that.
I do not know what 2026 holds for me. However, I hope to be a light on social media.
One of the people I respect the most texted me last week saying, “And glad to see you back on social. Small drips here and there is enough.”. I pray that I can use whatever platform I’ve been given to share the Spirit of Jesus. If you’ve made it this far, I urge you to read the scripture below. The living word of God is timeless.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well. Let’s not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.”
