Our pumpkins started life about 100 days ago on a farm on the Navajo Reservation in Farmington, NM.

Great care has been taken in planting, growing, and harvesting to ensure you have purchased a quality pumpkin with a long shelf life. Nearly 100% of the farm workforce is Native American. Using domestic labor is very important as the unemployment rate in this region is over 40%. This project and others like it create roughly 25 full-time and 550 seasonal jobs.

After ripening, the pumpkins were hand-loaded on a truck and traveled all the way to Grain Valley, MO to raise money for our BackSnack Program.

100% of the proceeds from your purchase help fund the BackSnack program for GV Schools. Each week over 200 backsnacks go home with local students in need of a little extra to get them through the weekend.

Blue Springs Christian Church packs for the middle and high schools, while Faith UMC packs for the elementary schools and the Early Childhood Center. On Thursdays each week, the Life Directions class at GV High Schools helps Faith pack and deliver.

Stop by the corner of Buckner-Tarsney and Eagles Parkway, grab a pumpkin or four, and support weekend food options for Grain Valley students. Each week, the BackSnack program provides over 200 GV students with much-needed nutrition options. All proceeds from our pumpkin sales go toward this program.
