"Team Danny" is a dedicated group of individuals dedicated to improving the lives of those suffering from CF." I hope that we can help find a cure for CF!

We are a team comprised of family and friends who support the CF Foundation and Great Strides each year. We are always looking for more people who want to help raise money and awareness for this cause. This is a very important cause to us because as some of you may know my brother is affected by CF and everyday is a fight for him But with amazing strength and always in the best of spirits; he leads a great life and doesn't let CF get him down! I hope by doing this my friends and family will donate and walk with us! The only way that is going to happen is if we raise money to help with research! Also raising Awareness of this disease is very important as well! Not many people are aware of what CF is or how many people are effected by this disease. FACT: Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the most common, fatal hereditary disease in the U.S. FACT: Anywhere from 20,000 to 30,000 American children and adults have CF. FACT: my brother HAS CF and I myself am a gene carrier. FACT: YOU CAN HELP RAISE AWARENESS

WHAT IS CYSTIC FIBROSIS (CF) Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that: •clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections; and •obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food. In the 1950s, few children with cystic fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Today, advances in research and medical treatments have further enhanced and extended life for children and adults with CF. Many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond.
