Essential oils are highly concentrated and some, like many other things in concentration, can be harmful if you use them undiluted or neat as it is often called. Some oils can cause severe skin irritation or cause bad reactions when the skin it is used on is exposed to the sun. Of course, the are some oils that won't harm you if you use straight, but it isn't needed. The oils are strong enough to be effective even in a heavy dilution. At worst you could cause severe skin problems using essential oils neat. At best you are wasting your oil and money.
In some cases, using an oil neat can be beneficial such as using helichrysum to stop bleeding, I just wouldn't use it undiluted for daily uses. Here's a link to a post on dilution.

Well, it's official, I'm now a certified aromatherapy and Jin Shin practitioner! There is still much to learn, more than I could learn in a lifetime of study, but I have the tools to succeed!

In the next few days I'll be launching my website, it's still a work in progress so my store front won't be up and running for a while yet, but I'll be starting the blog up, there'll be a link to my doterra store front and information on classes I'm able to run. I have big dreams for Dragon Wings Essentials and I hope you join me for the ride!
