It's no way to start a day!
If your first steps out of bed feel like you’re stepping on a tack, you may be dealing with plantar fasciitis... one of the most common causes of heel pain.
Plantar fasciitis isn’t just a “foot issue.” It’s often connected to tight calves, overuse, biomechanics, and even overall stress on the body. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we look at both the local pain and the whole-body pattern, correcting pain where you feel it, AND the source of what is causing it.
How acupuncture can support plantar fasciitis:
• Calms inflammation
• Increases circulation to the heel
• Releases tight calves and fascia
• Eases pain naturally
• Supports long-term recovery
What We Recommend Alongside Treatment:
• Gentle calf and plantar fascia stretching, especially before and after exericise - but only to 70% of your max.
• Wearing supportive footwear, even at home (yes, supportive slippers count!)
• Rolling your foot on tennis ball (a cold can during the acute phase can ease pain, but switch to heat as soon as possible)
• Staying consistent with care, early treatment often leads to faster improvement.
