For years, I judged my fitness in black and white.

I either got the workout in… or I didn’t.
I either ate right… or I didn’t.
I was either “on track”… or off.

It felt disciplined.
But it wasn’t working.

Every miss felt like failure.
No learning. Just frustration.

Then I made a shift.

I stopped thinking in terms of routines and habits…and started thinking in terms of practices.

A daily practice of movement.
A daily practice of fueling.
A daily practice of learning.

A practice isn’t pass or fail.

Welcome to our 🤬 FRIDAY NO BS RANT 🤬

More is not better. Better is better.
→ More workouts = burnout.
→ More diets = confusion.
→ More programs = nothing sticks.

I asked a client one question: "Is this sustainable?"
The answer was clear. No.

High performance fitness isn't high performance fitness if it's unsustainable.

So we started cutting.
→ We eliminated the workouts that were destroying her body.
→ We simplified nutrition down to three non-negotiables.
→ We built in recovery so she could consistently show up.

Less — but better.

And when you do less → you finally have the energy to recharge, recover, and perform at your best for life.

You try another diet.

Meanwhile… the real problem sits there.

I had a client who couldn't figure out why she wasn't seeing results.
Same effort. Different week.
She thought she needed to work out harder.

I told her, "You don't need to work out harder… you need to recover better, eat smarter, and build a system that actually works for your life."

That's the shift.
The hard decision.
The tough conversation with yourself.

The standard that needs to be raised.

That's the real work.
But it's easier to stay busy.

This is why we train.
Not just to look better.
Meet Oonagh. 59 years old. Traveling in Amsterdam, she fell off a bike and fractured her wrist.

To be ready for the moments we never see coming.

Meet Oonagh. 59 years old. Traveling in Amsterdam when she fell off a bike and fractured her wrist. Her first thought? "I've been strength training all this time… for what?"

Then she saw the orthopedic surgeon.

Based on how she fell and the force on her wrist, he expected significantly more damage — possibly even surgery.

Instead, the fracture was minor. MINOR!

His conclusion? Her strength training played a major role in protecting her. At 59, her body was strong enough to absorb impact in a way most people her age simply couldn't.

That's Real Life. Real Results. 🙌

→ Pulling yourself out of the water while kayaking
→ Avoiding surgery because your body was strong enough
→ Turning around a serious health issue through consistency
