In conversations with students, common topic that comes up:
Pain.
I can’t tell you how many times students have asked me, “Coach, what do I do about this injury?”
And over time, here’s what I’ve come to realize:
Most people are trying to escape pain — like it’s the enemy.
But the truth is… their relationship with pain is upside down.
Yeah, pain sucks. I’m not here to sugarcoat it.
But pain is part of the process — it’s a signal, not a sentence.
Instead of fighting it, what if you listened to it?
Because pain can show you where you’re out of alignment.
It can reveal your weak spots — physically, mentally, emotionally.
Injuries happen. Setbacks happen. But here’s the real question:
“What is this teaching me?”
That question changes everything.
It puts you back in control.
It gives the pain purpose.
We’ve all been hurt. But when was the last time you slowed down, reflected, and asked:
“What did I learn from this?”
