Something interesting I heard on a pod cast got me thinking: Why do we make resolutions for the new year in the winter? Yes, obviously new year is in the winter but legit, winter is a time (for most on the East Coast) for rest, relaxation, and rebirth. Things are frozen, dormant and at rest. Nature is doing it so why arent we? We pack on physical and emotional weight on after the holidays and going into the new year it's all too easy to want better for that"New Year" but why not use the winter to establish a game plan, set some goals and get some preplanning mojo going so that once we emerge from winter reborn, less tired and ready to grow, as nature will be as well, that we THEN set our resolutions into motion. Understanding our perceived limitiations allows us to re-write those limitations and turn them in possibilities that we have a far better chance of accomplishing.
