Ryan Hits the Road for Veterans: A Memorable visit to Cape Cod

This week, Ryan accepted a special invitation to Massachusetts for a powerful purpose—connecting with a dedicated Veteran Service Officer he’s partnered with for years and attending the annual MVSOA Conference in beautiful Cape Cod.

The conference brought together over 200 Veteran Service Offices from across Massachusetts, all gathering to exchange knowledge, build partnerships, and bring valuable resources back to their local communities.

But it wasn’t all business! These hardworking VSOs took time to unwind, and Ryan was right there with them—joining in a lively networking party in the hotel lobby and even hopping aboard a fishing trip!

Still, Ryan’s main focus never wavered: sharing how Van Valen Associates’ highly successful Veterans Benefit Program can help VSO offices support veterans health in their communities. He spent the majority of his time building relationships and offering resources to expand outreach and impact.

Ryan summed it up best during his speech infront of the MVSOA board and conference attendees:

"You always answer a call to action—especially when it comes from veterans. Even if it means a six-hour drive. You do it. You have to. They fought for us, so they deserve people who will fight for them."

One special moment? Ryan brought along his father’s Vietnam-era uniform—a personal tribute to his hero and an unforgettable conversation starter at the conference table!

We had the great privilege to attend the Nassau County Detectives' Assoc. meeting to discuss the groups' options for dental coverage.

After a great Q&A session came the best part-- being able to meet and connect with members on a one to one basis.

Thank you, John Wighaus and the board, for having us and for your tremendous hospitality!

Our team is already working diligently with several members to help them find dentists and the plans that work best for them.
