The Junior Friends of Matheny was founded in 2007 by four high school students. These students include Renee Wild and Sam Cembrook, Austin Zurlo and Jacqueline Cembrook. Since its start, over 200 high school students have become members. JFOM have raised over $10,000 from fundraisers and events as well as dedicated thousands of hours of community service, all to benefit the Matheny Medical and Educational Center, a school and hospital for children/adults with severe disabilities. The Junior Friends of Matheny is an auxiliary organization to the Friends of Matheny, founded in 1983. JFOM Mission - To support the Friends of Matheny in both fundraisers and volunteer activities. JFOM Vision - The Junior Friends of Matheny hopes to bring awareness and acceptance of children and adults with severe disabilities living at Matheny Medical and Educational Center to high school students within its surrounding community. What does JFOM do?
1. Organize at least 2 fundraising activities per year
2. Support Friends of Matheny sponsored programs through volunteer activities
3. Fund items off Matheny's "Wish List"
4. Volunteer at Matheny events (i.e prom, graduation, Miles for Matheny)

Criteria to join? Must be a high school student and pay $25 yearly membership fee. Interested? Anyone interested can attend the monthly meetings held at Bernards High School and Ridge High School, alternately. Email jfom2007@gmail.com for more information. We always welcome new members! :)
