Every October, we celebrate Filipino American History Month—a time to honor the stories, resilience, and contributions of Filipino Americans who have helped shape our communities and our nation. In Houston and across Texas, Filipino nurses have stood at the frontlines of care—leading teams, advancing quality and safety, educating the next generation, and showing up for our neighbors in moments of greatest need.
At PNAMH, “One PNAMH, One Family” is more than a motto—it’s how we work. We serve together, learn together, and lift together. This month, I invite every member and friend of PNAMH to celebrate with purpose:
• Share your nursing story—how you started, who mentored you, and what keeps you going.
• Recognize a colleague who embodies compassion, excellence, and leadership.
• Support our community outreach, scholarship, and education programs that open doors for future Filipino nurses.
• Mentor a student or new graduate, and help them find their voice and path in nursing.
Filipino American History Month reminds us that our heritage is a source of strength—and our profession is a calling to serve. Thank you, PNAMH family, for the countless ways you transform care, uplift patients and families, and represent our community with pride and integrity. Let’s continue to stand together, innovate together, and care together—today and every day.
Proud to celebrate Filipino American History Month with our PNAMH family. Our stories, our service, our heritage—stronger together. 💙
