We had an absolute blast today at Charter Senior Living of Pekin celebrating our very own “PE” Kentucky Derby! 🎉

From the excitement of the races to the friendly competition, the energy was contagious. And of course, we followed up all the fun with refreshing mint juleps—because what’s the Derby without them? 🍹

A little competition never hurt anybody, especially when it leads to so many smiles and laughs. And really… who doesn’t love a good, happy Happy Hour? 💙

May begins with a quiet spark, like a screen lighting up in a dim room, full of possibility and connection as we step into our theme, " Tech Me Out Tonight."

Throughout the month, our community has become an immersive blend of light, sound, and shared experience. Residents may enjoy cinematic afternoons with glowing screens and surround sound, create digital watercolor art with the swipe of a finger, or be transported through virtual travel experiences that spark wonder.

This May, we don’t just plug in, we reach out, we reconnect, and we feel just a little closer to one another.

We had such a wonderful outing at Charter Senior Living of Pekin!

Our residents took a trip to Chillicothe to enjoy a delicious meal at Sweetwater Kitchen & Cocktails, and it did not disappoint. With beautiful views of the Illinois River and Lake Peoria, the atmosphere was just as enjoyable as the food!
From great conversation to tasty dishes, it was a perfect day filled with laughter, connection, and new memories. 💙

We love getting out into the community and experiencing all the local gems together!

What a wonderful evening at SPARK here at Charter Senior Living of Pekin!

Tonight was a beautiful reminder of what makes our community so special—and the perfect way to grow something beautiful and start the season.
Through SPARK, we celebrate each guest by focusing on:

💛 Strengths – recognizing and encouraging what our guests can do
💛 Purpose – creating meaningful moments that bring joy and fulfillment
💛 Awareness – honoring each guest’s unique story and needs
💛 Recreation – sharing laughter and fun through engaging activities
💛 Knowledge – providing compassionate, personalized care every day

From smiles to shared stories, the energy in the room was truly inspiring. We are so grateful to our amazing guests and team members who make nights like this unforgettable!
